Jan 10, 2017 14:10

Twelve federal jurors said Tuesday that Dylann Roof, the man who killed nine people in a 2015 massacre at a historically black Charleston, South Carolina, church, should be put to death.

I consider myself pretty liberal, but I support the jury's decision here.

yeah, same. I tend to fall under "rabidly against capital punishment" category--- but.... fuck man, he did it. He said he did. He said he would do it again. No remorse. No empathy. It's really hard for me to feel a smidgen of morality for someone this ruthless.

I'm not rabidly against it, but this case is one where Capital Punishment is the only appropriate sentence. Murder is bad enough, to kill commit it in a house of worship, to sit through that service and still do what he did...I feel no remorse for saying that he deserves the harshest punishment our society can administer.

I don't support the death penalty. I'd rather see him rot in jail for the rest of his life tbh. it doesn't surprise me he got the death penalty though. he showed zero remorse.

i'm actually surprised.

i'm curious, in the days after the shooting, were there people on Twitter and stuff showing their asses saying he didn't mean to do it , etc? (there are always sympathizers in these situartions). wonder what they think.

The only people who have gone out of their way to defend him have been alt-reich types or neo-nazis (but I'm repeating myself.)

OK, I like the term "alt-reich", especially for using it in response to those articles that continue to insist on using "alt-right" instead of calling them what they are -- Nazis, or Neo-Nazis (either works.)

May I snitch it, please?

I can't claim to be the one that came up with it, so feel free to snag it. XD

I'm anti-death penalty but I knew he was getting the death sentence.
