Let me tell you, I posted about this on Facebook, here are some real life replies:

What exactly does registration entail? I'm an immigrant in Switzerland and we are all registered upon entering. I'm wondering how this would compare.

Most countries around the world do this. Countries have to know who's coming and going and what their doing when in country. If you've ever bought an international plane ticket your in a DB somewhere.

We were registering immigrants entering this country a long time ago. Ellis island. People would show up on ships and we would inspect and register everyone of them, My grandfather was part of this. Nobody complained about this, it was part of coming to America in a LEGAL fashion. What is wrong with knowing who is coming an going in a country. You expect the government to keep you save yet you do not allow them to track who comes and goes?

Isn't the NSA tracking all of us all the time in pretty much everything we do?It's like people are going OUT OF THEIR WAY to be extremely obtuse and not understand that ( ... )

I've travelled extensively for the past decade and can't recall being asked my religion as I go from place to place.

+1

We've travelled extensively as well and never been asked our religion or any personal information beyond what's in our passports and what we put on the entry forms (none of which asked for religious affiliation).

Freaking Glenn Beck has been being the voice of reason for the last few months. The world is upside-down.

Anyone remember NSEERS/know people who registered? We moved out of the US at the end of 2001, otherwise my dad would have had to register. The fact that the Obama administration only de-listed the countries, instead of shutting down the whole program, makes it SO EASY to resurrect.

having people that are not protected under our constitution

I thought all Americans are protected, regardless of their religion?

What next? Armbands and tattoos? How can they not see the line they are attempting to jump over. It's sick.

They can see the line very well. They WANT to cross the line, they're deliberately taking fascim as a model.

And well, the voters eat it up.
