It's simple. It's because they won football games. It is a cult that's willing to sacrifice children for success.

I'm not one to cheer on insurance companies, but God, the arrogance of Penn State. They had won the PR battle, they had pretty much covered everything up again, but that wasn't enough- they assumed they could get someone else to pay for it.

The complicity of Penn State in the continuing molestation of children means they have lost any right to exist. The place should be turned to rubble and the land salted. Nuke the site from orbit, it's the only way to be sure.

Seriously, fuck PU and fuck everybody who still supports them.

I earnestly hope that the insurance investigation drags this scandal out in the media even longer. Penn State's Google results should be fucked for generations.

And yet it doesn't stop people from going there in droves. Or alumni from supporting them. If this shit came out about my alma mater, you can guarantee I'd be the first one in line to criticize them. The fact that Penn State still has so many fans is downright horrifying (and I live in Pittsburgh, so I see a LOT of it firsthand).

If something like this came out about my alma mater, I'd be ashamed to admit I went there, rather than defending the damned place!

The victim directly went up to Paterno and Paterno told him he didn't want to know anything about it and walked away. I am so glad his legacy is tarnished.

“Is it accurate that Coach Paterno quickly said to you, ‘I don’t want to hear about any of that kind of stuff, I have a football season to worry about?'” the man’s lawyer asked.

“Specifically. Yes…. I was shocked, disappointed, offended. I was insulted…. I said, is that all you’re going to do? You’re not going to do anything else?”

Paterno, the man testified, just walked away.
