She called his foreign policy “dangerously incoherent” and said he was “temperamentally unfit” to serve as president.

Former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton characterized Donald Trump’s approach to the world as “dangerously incoherent” on Thursday in a scorching speech about national security and foreign policy in San Diego.

Thanks so much for these links (and thanks to the person who sent the other post as well)! I just added them.

Sorry it took so long; I wasn't on line until late in the day today except on my phone. I can't seem to master the art of copy pasta on that thing, so I waited till I could get on my actual computer.

Thanks, I'm actually just glad the video got shown.

Also, that was a total learning experience- I'm massively out of practice formatting large posts on LJ.

this was a good speech. This is how she needs to go at him if she wants to win.

I think maybe she's playing for people in the middle who are semi rational to realize the Donald trump is dangerous but too right leaning to vote for Hillary. Cause the people who love Donald trump will do so no matter what honestly they're idiots.

I do think you're right though. To really ruin his shot at winning she needs to break the facade of his wealth. Because people don't care about how racist or dumb he is cause they think he'll make them rich, because he's rich. So if she can dispel the idea that he is this amazing businessman like the way John Oliver did by showing how he's actually a fraud and isn't as rich as we think. Then his mindless followers might also be swayed

Yeah, I know multiple Republicans who aren't crazy about Trump but also really don't like Hillary. If some of them can be convinced that Trump is too dangerous/dumb to vote for, and can be convinced to vote Dem or third party instead...well, that'd be good.

I agree that puncturing his aura of strength is important, but concentrating in his wealth is only part of it-though she did include it, with the golf course crack ( ... )

She called his foreign policy “dangerously incoherent”

I mean, it's not like her FP is any better with her love of wars and arms deals but okay.

If you are actually implying that Clinton's foreign policy errors (as you see them) somehow cancel out Trump's foreign policy failings as described in this speech OR somehow disqualify her from being entitled or qualified to point out Trump's weaknesses in this area, imo you could not be more wrong.

I can't see any reason why those things should have any bearing on each other, which leads me to suspect that the only reason for this comment was to use this rather impressive speech (which I suspect you haven't even read/seen/listened to) as an excuse to take a completely irrelevant and unwarranted swing at Clinton for reasons that have nothing whatsoever to do with the content of the speech itselfCriticizing candidates is of course acceptable here. But this comment does not represent actual criticism. Criticism of Clinton's foreign policy would mean outlining the things you disagree with in her foreign policy and explaining what you think is wrong with them. This comment is not criticism. It's just a snide comment, and as such, I don't ( ... )

Loved it. And especially love that Trump has no response except her appearance and claimimg he didn't say those things. I just imagine someone on his staff was praying he'd wait for them to verify before he tweeted that.
