It's nice to see one Dugger acting like a human being and not some brainwashed Xian robot. Jayzus. Maybe he'll break *all* the conditioning and get the hell out of that 'movement' and that life.

Good luck to Anna - she's screwed if she stays with that 'pig'.

tag game is on point, OP!

as for the rest of it...it's a rabbit hole that very quickly leads to me getting table-flipping mad, so i try not to dwell on it for too long. i will say i am beyond tired of the people who are being so loudly, publicly righteous and condemning and "JESUS is on my side"...and then such utter shitstains in private.

i haven't been religious for a very, very long time and the longer this goes on, the harder i'm side-eyeing the whole construct. i'm sure there are good groups out there who don't behave this way. i'm sure there's a lot it can do for you mentally and spiritually. but i am damn sure not going to even try to find out, because right now, all i see is complete insanity.

...am I the only one bothered by the fact that only one person in those exchanges made mention of Duggar's victims, and the fact that his wife needs to take her kids and get away from a pedophile? And the rest are more concerned about him "disrespecting" her by cheating via Ashley Madison. This conversation should've come up long before the Ashley Madison leak. I don't understand how "molested underage girls, including his sisters" isn't reason to open a dialogue about divorce, but "registered on a cheating website" is.

This pearl-clutching obsession with the Ashley Madison site is one gigantic disgusting mess in general. I'm not surprised about this at all.

from what i can tell from half-heartedly following these developments for a while (because i'm a masochist for rage, apparently), since josh molested his sisters when he was a teenager, their supporters could just try to brush it under the rug and claim that what he did wasn't as bad as it seemed because he had just made a ~youthful mistake~ or whatever (i want to barf just from having typed that) and had received "treatment" for his behavior (ie: three months of labor at a construction company with no counseling) and repented, learned his lesson, and whatever other justifications they had to avail him of any personal responsibility for the sexual abuse he inflicted on those girls.

but with the AM scandal, they can't do that anymore because this is stuff that has been happening pretty recently, which means he wasn't really reformed at all and they've been fools to have even defended him to begin with. but it's not like they're going to admit they were wrong before, so all they can really do is just condemn him for cheating on his

That's my take. he hasn't reformed or repented in the slightest. he's still a slimeball.

And to me, Anna always looks like that smile is one of a hostage grimacing for the camera to show she's really just fine!

They teach total submissiveness to males. It's a culture that breeds the conditions for women to stay when any sane person thinks GTFO.
