Guess it's time to become a Satanist. Now it makes me wonder about the people who peddle this stuff would react if I responded with that since saying I'm not interested/I'm not religious seems to be code to them to push harder. At least then I could say 'I'm not pushing the glories of the Horned One upon your soul to tempt you into corruption, not all people want or need redemption and I am one of them' just to see them squirm.

I don't typically identify as a Satanist to others because it comes across is horrifically try-hard if you state it outright. But truth be told, the "religion" is actually atheistic in nature, more focused on the self and becoming your own god, you could say. You are God, you are Satan - rituals are more a form of self-therapy, in which you create your own magic. Satanist don't truly worship Satan, and you might be surprised by how logical and sane it is, despite all the frenzied press it often gets.

I was happily surprised to find that the philosophies align very close with my own, even if I don't often state outright that I identify as Satanic unless I'm pestered. I'll admit the idea people get that you literally worship the Devil can be a great tool to fuck around with them if they're pushing their religion too hard.
