Of course Texas will appeal. One of the goals of all of these laws (not just in Texas, everywhere they're happening) is to bring cases to SCOTUS in a continuing effort to reduce or eliminate Roe v. Wade.

Pretty much. Our current theory is also that Perry is pandering to the OMG ABORTIONS crowd in his bid for presidency.
