I kept wondering if this was a psychic dog or something and then it was like "o wait a last name" oopsie

The unfortunate thing being that regardless of what happens, these Republicans will be able to hold their seats until at least 2022 if not longer thanks to redistricting. We're in for some fun years everyone!!

God may still tell her to run, so I wouldn't feel too relieved yet...

I was wondering why a Canadian province was charging anything against the Democrats...

They don't want a government shut down. The only reason the GOP will be blamed more is because the public considers the issue of Obamacare settled, but your party has decided to make it their last stand.

Get over it, and stop acting like the Democrats owe you a compromise just because you have a (really stupid) position.

They don't even want compromise - they want surrender.

exactly! and that's what pisses me off the most about these stunts. (besides the fact that the republicans who are stirring this shit in the first place never feel the consequences of their actions, unlike the poor & middle-class people in this country) they make ridiculous demands, like making the passage of the budget dependent on defunding obamacare, solely because they're pissed that first 42 times they tried to overturn it failed.

then, they all whine and moan that democrats never want to compromise and that THEY'RE the unreasonable ones, even though it's the dems who are ALWAYS compromising, and it's the republicans who refuse to budge on their all-or-nothing decisions, and who have no idea what the word "compromise" actually means.

i REALLY REALLY REALLY hope that people remember this shit come election time, because seriously, this is bullshit.

Especially considering that Obamacare is already a compromise to begin with. Since most democrats from what I've seen wanted universal healthcare.

"We're going to shut down the government if we don't get our way! It'll be the other person's fault because of a thing we're doing!"

Uh. Right. Okay.

Of course the public will blame Republicans. They're the ones threatening a shutdown unless everybody else bows to their demands.

Same as the last time, too. I wonder if there's a poll about who the public blames for that one? (Well, I found a poll with a variety of incidents)
