I'm pretty sure I read the edited version when i was in school, so I don't think this is really a big deal. I mean, isn't it edited in the first place, since her father didn't want some stuff in it included? idk

I've heard from my old English professors that she did in fact discuss actual sex and kissing boys with open honestly. He edited that out as to preserve a more "angelic" image of his little girl (and tbh I can understand why any father is uncomfortable revealing info about his daughter's truly private sexual feelings).
