It made me a little uncomfortable when I was a kid, too. Learning and expanding your mind isn't about being comfortable all the time, FFS. Most of the best learning experiences require you to step outside that which is customary and comfortable so you can stop being complacent.

Right? I mean, disregarding the sexual content (that wasn't even sexual, it was just about anatomy), they're learning about the Holocaust. If you teach that in a way to make it "comfortable," you're doing it wrong.

From the nature of the complaint I was expecting something a lot worse than a girl matter of factly describing her genitalia. The passage is anything but pornographic.

Thank you I had the exact same reaction? So she talks about her body and boys. OMG how horrible. How normal for a Jewish girl to be aware of what that stuff down there is.
