Naming a winter storm? Meteorologists are appalled by Nemo

They're going to do it anyway, so why not just get ahead of the curve and form a naming system of some kind that's different from hurricanes. Number them instead using different languages for rotation. Winter Storm Uno, for example.

i get their point, but speaking as a floridian who doesn't have to deal with nemo but has been through a hurricane, i know nemo isn't coming here to knock any of my shit down, thanks.

The only problem I have with going apeshit and naming all storms is that there are people actually named these things and will have to deal with this shit forever.

Do you think ANY babies are going to be named Katrina anymore? Or Sandy? Or El Nino?

I get your point, but I kind of side-eye anyone who names their kid "The Boy". Kind of up there with naming them "You".
