What's up folks! I don't know if you guys had heard about a campaign called "Actually..." where celebs call shenanigans on some of the B.S. that's been coming out of the Romney campaign. Actually....this is pretty awesome. Poor people are cut out of opportunities for economic mobility, the minimum wage is laughable, and the cycle of poverty are all too much reality for Mittens. He doesn't understand people who have to take out student loans rather than use a stock portfolio, let alone people who have to live in public housing.

This has been quiet an emotional day for me. I got to meet Debbie Stabenow and Carl Levin, my state's senators. Stabenow talked about her father's illness when she was a teen and the financial need-based scholarships she got which were the only reason she could go to college. People she never met cared enough to make sure horrible circumstances didn't keep her from fulfilling her dream of college, and she wants to make sure that those opportunities are there for others. Now compare that to senator Ryan who was helped personally by the government after his father died when Ryan was a teen. I would have a tiny amount of respect for truth telling if the Republican party just changed their slogan to "We got ours, so fuck you ( ... )

Yes, this is a public school. The one I went to in fact, and the one that my youngest will NOT be going to.
