Yes! There's plenty! They have some really good dialogue/interaction (including a whole scene with just the two of them together), also at the end there's a nice moment too. :D
It was the best. Seriously. Better than Dark Knight, Imho, because it was an impossible challenge from the get-go and both Marvel and Joss made it work so seamlessly.
It really helped that they chopped up the character background in separate movies. Coming into this film, I had really high expectations and I'm still reeling from the fact that Joss exceeded all of them.
The movie was clever and subtle. I love how the characters fed off each other's weaknesses and strengths. No one stood idly by. Every moment was visceral to the plot.
I think the fight scenes in the city encapsulated exactly the kind of movie this was - the transition from Hawkeye jumping backwards from the top of a fucking building to the chase scene between Loki and Black Widow to the rest of the Avengers fighting on - everything was connected, fluid, and the plot movement and cinematography were breathtaking.
The banter! Which were all witty and delivered with maximum effect. I mean, aside from the physical in-fighting, it was a surprisingly fun way to watch

Where is that quote from?! :D Gah I love that cast to bits, can you imagine a sequel?! A THIRD?! This franchise needs to stay awesome and go on forever and ever.
I love your review, you've said basically everything I was planning on saying (before I dissolved into fangirl hysterics). Everyone felt important, and I agree with you entirely, no one felt tacked-on whatsoever and all had their role in the plotline. The flawless cinematography in that fight sequence, the one long shot which showed everyone fighting for New York, Coulson, the Black Widow/Hawkeye dynamic (Tony's romance was so sweet as well! I love his dynamics with Pepper and how much of a cute puppy he is around her), and Loki was fantastic and Thor and everything was pefect.
Seeing this movie again very soon and I'm even more excited than before now I know what I'll be seeing.
I can't believe how good it was. An larger Avengers franchise would be fantastic.
I just watched it again, actually (3D was a little confusing; could only focus on a few things). Stuff I didn't notice before came to light - this time 'round, I appreciated just how poetic Phil's character was. Oh god, he's basically the underline hero of this movie, right?
That scene, where Fury tells him to focus on him, Phil whispered something - I didn't catch it the first time - I think he said something along the lines of, "It's all right. This wouldn't have worked anyway without -"
And it hit me and my sister. We basically grabbed each other in the theater, teary eyed again and whispered, "He knew."
IT WAS THE AVENGERS' SNAPE MOMENT. Coulson seemed the unlikely candidate to provide a the spirited heroic 'push' - I mean, why wouldn't he be the one? He kind of brought them all together.
I can't. I still can't.

I've already seen it twice. My spoilery thoughts - mostly re Loki and Coulson - are posted in my own LJ here. Also, I did a review for Hypable - not many spoilers - and you can find that here.
I think all my favorite moments have been written in the previous comments. HOWEVER, I must say the scene that really convinced me this was going to be a great movie was the Thor/Loki cliff scene. There was so much tension and love and pleading on Thor's part for Loki to "end this madness and come home". It was pulling the strings of my heart. The happiness from Thor on seeing Loki alive. It was really Shakespeare in the park as Tony put it

So....went to see The Avengers on the 25th, then spent the following weekend catching up on the rest of the movies (I'd seen Iron Man and IM2 but nothing beyond that) before seeing it again. I have now come to the conclusion that my minor obsession with Natasha/Hawkeye is totally unhealthy, and I may need to go see it again on the weekend to combat this. Also, the soundtrack makes really epic studying music.
This is....potentially unhealthy but really rather fun.
