I actually JUST watched "In Translation" like...two days ago, and remember thinking up until that episode that Jin needed to die in a fire ASAP, but of course, like most flashback episodes in season one, my opinion changed. That scene in the bathroom after she leaves and he just looks in the mirror and cries. Kills me.
Oh my god, yes to this. Turning the stereotypes on their ear. It's what made Sun my favourite survivor before characters like Rousseau and Ben ambled along.
I hate Glass Ballerina for the reasons adigallia said. On island was annoying and melodramatic and the off island was too.
I looove D.O.C. I love seeing Sun and Jin so blissfully happy at the beginning, and Jin's dad is too sweet. Plus the Naomi and Mikhail situations on island are fun.
But my favorite is Ji Yeon because of the heartbreaking moment of realizing that they aren't actually in the same timeline in the flashes. :( And Jin's nice speech at the end about how he was a bad husband before.
AND I LOVE THEIR KISS WHEN THEY FIRST REUNITED. IT HAD ME IN TEARS. I MEAN, THE WHOLE MONTAGE WAS BEAUTIFUL, PERIOD. AND I CRIED SO HARD IN THE SCENE WHERE JIN IS ABOUT TO LEAVE ON THE RAFT AND THEY'RE BOTH TALKING AND SHE GIVES HIM THAT LITTLE BOOK.
Ohhh my god, when he's about to go on the raft and he says something like "I'm here because I'm being punished. I made you suffer." Their moments are so underrated.

But I LOVE the reveal in "In Translation", and Jin's Dad is all "It IS a good world."
This is a Jin's Dad appreciation post.
