As a companion to yesterday's Least Favorite Episodes post, let's talk about our favorite episodes today. Just as Stranger in a Strange Land was the cop-out answer for least favorite episode, The Constant is your cop-out answer for favorite episode. It's amazingness is a well-known fact at this point.

Some of my favorites:

agreed, bb. exodus has always been my most fav episode ( i like to think of the two parts as one). when that fuckin michael giacchino score sweeps in at the raft launch...i don't know if anything is better than that single moment.

8. The Lie
7. The Other Woman
6. The Man Behind the Curtain

The Constand and Doctor Linus!

Both are incredibly emotional, and just...beautiful IMO.

Oh and Happily Ever After also falls under this category, especially when watching it after understanding what sideways world is.

YES - 100%! I feel that way about all the sideways storylines, but especially this. It's really interesting to see how Desmond finally "remembers."

Through the Looking Glass is my favorite ever but maybe finales are sort of in their own category. So my favorite regular episodes are Man Behind the Curtain, Par Avion, Jughead, One of Us, Whatever Happened, Happened and Greatest Hits.

I pretty much love everything in the latter half of S3, from Tricia Tanaka to the end. Heck, Not in Portland to the end minus SIASL.

It's a Juliet one, where she arrives on the island and Ben keeps making her stay longer, and she cures Claire but she's really been conning the 815ers all along.

omg yes. one of us. when she looks at all the people all the beach, and finishes tieing that rope or whatever. i get chills. its like she's tying a noose around all the survivors necks.

Raised by Another - Kinda random, I know, but this is the episode that got me hooked on Lost. The part with Richard Malkin putting Claire on the flight knowing it would crash, and then the cliffhanger at the end about Ethan... blew my mind. I loved the show after this ep.

YES, YES, YES! I choose to ignore the plotpoint negating Malkin's ability because I don't want anything taking away from that episode.

I'm not a huge fan of "Dead is Dead." I don't hate it, but I don't love it either. The confrontation between Ben and the monster is kinda silly, imo. But that's more because of poor CGI.

Yeah, I don't care for it either. It was cheesy and uninspired.

Umm, let's see, non-cop-out favorites: Raised by Another, The Other 48 Days, Ji Yeon, Jughead; sorta cop-outs: Greatest Hits, Dr. Linus; total cop-outs: The Constant, Exodus Pt. 1, Through the Looking Glass

I like how in that one and Expose they basically tell an entire story in one episode.

I also don't remember anything big being revealed in "Dead is Dead."

We already knew that Ben stole Alex. I wish they had used those flashbacks a little more wisely, maybe to cover what the Rules were instead of glossing over Widmore's banishment. Discuss what Ben's life was like growing up an Other and a Dharma kid.
