I don't understand these theories that the Ajira plane landed in the past. Well, okay, I do - particularly the bit with the recording still transmitting from the island - but it feels weird to me, like something is missing there.

I'm not objecting to the theory, but I'm not quite sure how it works or what the point is of the Ajirans ALSO being in the past and/or in an alternate universe.

As Frank is doing his Sully Sullenberger impression, the radio in the plane picks up what seems to be Danielle's transmission that we haven't heard since Season 1 or 2004. The plane takes off in 2008, the last event on the timeline.

The timeline previously places Frank's landing in 2007, which still doesn't work if that is, in fact, Danielle's original transmission that we heard because Danielle stopped the transmission in 2004.

And now I have a different problem. When Locke turns the wheel (arguably in the distant past, as implied by the statue), it is seemingly still off-kilter from Ben dicking with it. We assume.

But Ben doesn't dick with the thing till early 2005 or so. So is this spot in the island always unstuck in time, or did I find a plot error?

I NEED A LIFE.

Is the wheel always unstuck in time you mean?

I think it was also still December 2004 when he moved that wheel. He didn't end up in 2005 until after he moved the Island.

Yeah, I didn't pull up the lostpedia timeline for that, just mostly off of memory and the article on the transmission. I wasn't sure off the top of my head if it was still the dregs of December or into January when the wheel got turned. Lostpedia backs very late December - the 30th, 11 days after Benjamin's birthday, as the date of the wheel.

He doesn't appear until October of 2005.

So yeah, is that little space just not in time, or was there a goof or wha?

The #8 one is wrong. That's 1989. Rousseau wrecked in Nov 1988 and was 7 months pregnant with Alex. It is my belief that Danielle couldn't have possibly carried Alex to term given the circumstances.

Regardless of that, that flashback is either Dec 1988, or January 1989.

Given where that square is placed on the timeline, I think it's safe to assume that's a typo and they meant 1989. I mean, the one before it says Dec 1988, so....
