Oh! For some reason I thought it was still up in the air whether she'd be coming back or not. So she really was killed in the explosion? I guess I'm behind the times on spoilers.
Well from what I have gathered and understood from all the stuff I have read (analysed, rambled and obsessed about) since the finale aired ... Originally Darlton had planned that the beating jughead till it exploded/or not scene was to be the last we would see Elizabeth Mitchell in in LOST, but then something happened (fan reaction, or whatever makes Darlton do what they do) and they decided to bring her back. So I reckon since she is talking about her initial reaction after learning she was going to be "killed off", this doesn't necessarily mean that they have put the nails in her coffin just yet, since it was before Darlton changed their mind or something.
I think Liz was always going to come back as a guest star in season 6. They're bringing back everyone else and their mothers so it's hard to believe they wouldn't have asked her too. But because of the fan reaction to La Fleur they extended her appearance for a little longer. She is definitely not a full time cast member this time around though. I know she gave a percentage in an interview of how much screen time she will get in the final season. I'm thinking 20% but don't quote me on that. Maybe someone else here has the exact number she said.
It's my personal opinion that she's definitely dead. The writers first said her character's story had come to it's "natural conclusion" (This is also backed by her having been the only character Jacob didn't visit which suggests she's not part of whatever big plan he has) but then decided to be ambiguous for the cliffhanger's sake. Then Jack Bender stated that she is dead in an interview.
Anyway, who knows. It's LOST after all. We'll just have to wait and see.

Please to be coming back, because Sawyer needs Juliet!

A Skate shipper tried to tell me that Kate is the love of Sawyer's life, and I wasn't having any of that. Jack/Kate and Juliet/Sawyer, please.

Same. I really liked the 9 minute preview, though it cut off just as it was starting to get really exciting.
