I like Elizabeth's theory but not as an actual ending. They can put that bidness at the beginning of S6 if they decided to a reset-- which I'm hoping will be a fakeout/red herring kind of deal.
Darlton are big Stephen King fans who've always mentioned how they're influenced by The Stand so I'd say the central theme will be about the battle between good and evil.
I like DDK's idea because it reminds me of some line Sawyer had on the raft about building a chain of hotels (or something like that).
OH OH OH. Okay, I was just watching Flashes Before Your Eyes and what if you're right? What if they make it seem like a reset, but really its like what Desmond experienced after turning the failsafe key?
I could see that happening. That actually just worked its way into my head.
Yeah, they've always liked to play with the viewers' perceptions like that. I was watching the commentary for The Constant last night and, with the comments they made, I believe they'd view an actual reset as a cheap ploy that would undo 5 years of storytelling. They pretty much said so themselves.
It's a perfect plan right up until the part where Smokey starts eating tourists for snacks.
Actually, being a lover of justice, this sounds like an awesome idea to me. Lure tourists to the ~*~beautiful island paradise~*~ only to have them get their asses Judged by Smokey for being, ya know, greedy corporate pricks or what-have-you.
To my way of thinking, Josh's theory definitely seems to be the most plausible - I mean, could you really imagine people like Locke or Ben or even Rose and Bernard ever returning to the real world?
I think a lot of the characters have really invested something of themselves in the Island by this point - even someone like Jack has finally given in to His Destiny. I think the only way it could possibly end is after a lot of deaths and some pretty big personal decisions being made that somehow effect the fate of the Island and everything that we know.
I haven't even read that far. lol. I am thinking I will probably forget her comment by the time I actually get around to reading the second book. (I'm slow evidently.)

“The resurrection of the dead-with someone singing [Hawaiian farewell song] ‘Aloha ’Oe.’”
Oh heeeeeeeeeey Zombie Season!
Daniel Dae Kim:
“We all settle into Dharmaville, build our own homes and develop the island into a tourist destination and make millions of dollars.”
This made me LOL. It's a perfect plan right up until the part where Smokey starts eating tourists for snacks.
