I think Saikhan is only submitting authority to Tarrlok in order to figure out if there's any dirt on him. And I think he's feeding information to Lin in this regard.

Lin's raised her boys right.

Yeah, the interactive game made a point of talking about how much Saikhan looks up to Lin. Since that doesn't jive with what we've seen in the show, I think you might be on to something.

I think Tarrlok might've threatened everyone high up except Lin and Tenzin with bloodbending ("I can crush your/your loved ones' organs at any time!"). Maybe he doesn't threaten those two because they're related to the gaang? Like Yakone is Tarrlok's father or something and only the Gaang knew the full story behind him so he doesn't want to expose himself as Yakone's son by bloodbending without a full moon.

IA I refuse to accept that Lin had someone that incompetent working for her.

I don't know why I think Tarrlok took her to a pole - that'd be a hell of a ways to travel in one night.
But wherever she is, I think Zuko will be there and able to explain further what happened w/ Yakone if Aang is somehow unable to talk to her.

He could very well have taken her into the mountains. That last shot of the episode even seemed to imply it, along with reemphasizing the creepy nature of Tarrlok's non-full moon bloodbending.

Hmm, interesting idea! How do you think Zuko would know to be where Korra is?

I was thinking among the lines of him traveling to Republic City and happening to come across something telling. I can imagine him like "I traveled the countryside with my uncle...let's do it again!"

I don't think Asami is going to betray them or anything because she knows Korra likes Mako or vice versa. She might confront Mako about it, but I don't see it as a full blown "I HATE YOU TWO FOREVER" sort of thing.

I see Korra busting out of jail herself after learning a bit more about her role as the Avatar in general and returning to kick ass with even more powerful bending because she's now got spirituality to back up her already strong physical side of bending.

I still think it would be an intriguing twist if Asami was an Equalist all along, but it's looking increasingly unlikely. IA, though, I don't think she's going to hate them forever or anything. However, I've always thought Makorra would be endgame, and this storyline is probably not going to have a happy ending for Asami.

I can definitely see Korra busting herself out, and definitely her being more in touch with her spiritual side after this episode, but I still think she has a long way to go before she's fully in tune with the spiritual nature of being the Avatar.

Who knows? Maybe this season will end without Mako and Korra getting together and Mako and Asami will just drift apart or something.

I think it'd be interesting if maybe her lack of spirituality wasn't her own fault and that there's something wrong with the spirit world. And I wish that she'd meet the first avatar or something and that person will help her with her spirituality. IDK I want a lot of things.

Oh oh also...

I think Amon could wind up being the one to save Korra. He still has "plans" for her, after all... and he said himself it's not a good idea yet for the Equalists to get rid of her. At least not from a public perspective, like what Tarrlok is spinning.

Besides, he's the only one who knows for sure that Tarrlok is lying. Because his group is what's being accused.

Yeah! That would be so great - and it would play into what he said before, if I recall correctly, about how the Avatar believed such and such but she was wrong - he could say the Avatar believed she could get justice out of a bending oppressor and was wrong, etcetera. And he'd be right in Tarrlok's case.
