Another Wednesday, Another Speculation Post
Hi everyone! We're three days away from episode 9, "Out of the Past." Zap2It gives us the following description: Korra tries to understand her visions; Tenzin and Beifong search for Equalist hostages. We also have the promo from Monday of Korra meditating and yesterday's clip featuring Actual Douchebag Councilman Tarrlok. Episode 10, "Turning the Tides," will air June 16th; descriptions: TVGuide: Republic City gets bombarded by the Equalists. Zap2it: The Equalists begin to attack Republic City. Episodes 11 and 12, "Skeletons in the Closet" and "Endgame" will air together on June 23rd, wrapping up Book One.
Episode 8 gave us most of the screencaps we hadn't yet seen. Here are the rest:

We also know various voice actors have been in for ADR sessions, and Dante Basco's episode (though he is apparently in multiple episodes), "Skeletons in the Closet," is airing June 23.
So we have plenty to speculate about! How do you see the next four episodes playing out?
- Where did Tarrlok take Korra? How is she going to escape and get back to the city?
- Will someone come to rescue her? If so, do you think it will be Tenzin and Lin, Bolin, Mako, and Asami, or some combination of the above? Might we see Tenzin and Lin busting Bolin, Mako, and Asami out of jail?
- Flashbacks flashbacks flashbacks! It looks like Korra might finally be making contact with Aang. What do you think he'll tell her, and how did the Yakone situation play out 42 years ago? Is it possible they might go as dark as Toph and/or Sokka being killed by bloodbending, using the "crushing internal organs" line from the interactive game as foreshadowing?
- Episode 10's description tells us that the Equalists start attacking the city. What is Amon's plan? How are Hiroshi Sato's mechas involved? What does he have in store for Korra?
- Do you think Korra will be rescued at some point during the next episode, or will she still be imprisoned at the end of it? In any case, how much of Air Temple Island will we see in the remaining four episodes?
- Pema and the baby? The airkids? What roles do you see them playing?
- Do you think we'll see Zuko and maybe Katara soon?
- On the shipping front, Asami has now shown some jealousy and suspicion regarding Mako and Korra (who themselves seem to be sharing a few significant glances). How do you see that situation ending up?
- Will Tarrlok get some comeuppance? Lose his bending? Die in the fiery-est of fires?
- Any other thoughts?
