As has been pointed out on Twitter, Benitez' record is better than LvG's, but Perez RM being what it is, naturally Rafa got the axe, and LVG is (amazingly) still employed. Supposedly Mourinho is getting twitchy & starting to think about going elsewhere if he can't snag the United job. And yes, not only is LVG's style unattractive, it's ineffectual as well. I think Adidas' deal is tied to Manchester United making the Champions League (a Europa League was not on the cards, I'm sure). LvG's football is painful.
