Those tattoos are creepy. I'm numb
I have to stay away from transfer news for a while. At least I'm not emotionally involved with the Sterling transfer. (Not yet anyway, who knows where he'll end up)

IKR?? Creepy! Maybe it's because my relationship with my brothers is not close on this level, but theirs sometimes makes me uncomfortable.

Wow, Casillas. I keep saying that for this summer's transfers, but I can't believe it! I always saw him as a one-club man (perhaps with a final stay at MLS if anything), so this is a huge shock. I don't really like Iker but this transfer makes me kind of sad tbh. It's unfortunate how his long-time career at Real came to such a bitter end, having been booed by the club's own fans for much of his last season there and not retiring at the club like he had been planning to. Sure it's also his own fault, as he has shown too much pride and greed in the end while he could retire or accept not being a guaranteed starter (if that's what happened?), but it's still sad ( ... )

Why Porto / Primeira Liga, though?

because Jorge Mendes, basically. also it's outside La Liga so he won't play for a direct rival, it's a respectable club with CL football + Porto is a 45 min plane trip away from Madrid (with lots of daily flights) so his family can probably stay in Spain. and he won't even have to learn a new language.

Yes all those reasons came to my mind and make sense to me, but the move itself still doesn't lol. What are the Porto fans' feelings about this?

most are happy about it, especially since all things considered he basically came to us on a free (given that we received €31.5m for Danilo, €7.5m for Casemiro and RM are still paying for about 70% of this transfer including salaries and taxes). everyone knows he's a declining gk and it's not even clear if he'll actually start instead of Hélton, but we're looking forward to the publicity and visibility this already has and hopefully will continue to bring us. plus it kinda pisses of our main rivals in Portugal lmao, even if they'd never admit it.

I'm crying real tears rn tbh. I know it's weird since we knew this was coming sooner or later and I've only really been following football recently but I can't help that I'm already emotionally invested in this. It's not so much that he's leaving but the fact that he's leaving this way. And to think he didn't want a ceremonial send off because he fears a hostile reactions from the fans says a lot. It breaks me heart.

Damn, that was the reason? I thought it was because the deal came later than expected and he already had to go to Portugal or something. Sad. :/

Not even ancelotti's goal keeping coach liked him, accordingto rumors. History will be kind to him that is enough. Benítez is already making power plays I see. Him and Perez. Besides, most clubs are in preseason now. I can understand why all parties would pass on the mawkish ceremony.

according to rumors

so that's it? he deserves to be booed and harassed because of rumors? the way some people are reacting, it's like he's even worse than Perez

purchasing Darmian was such a good deal for United. i'm actually really surprised that so many people in England didn't know him at all or knew only very little about him. he was one of the most solid defenders in Serie A, i'm sad he left...

tbh now that Casillas has left i think Ramos will stay. imo they'll use the ~undisputed captaincy~ argument to negotiate and he'll end up staying. plus he seemed to be bff with Pérez just 2 days ago at Valdebebas.

Re: Ramos. He used Manchester United as a way to get more money. I think a lot of English teams look to the eredivisie or south America for players because the feeling is that the bigger leagues in Europe overcharge once they hear £££££.

This has been one of the more surprising transfer windows so far. Idek if Manchester United is buying trouble with Schweinsteiger though. He seems like he will be more laid up than not over here in the PL.

so Iker's mother went to the press apparently? insulted Porto and said she would rather him go to Barcelona instead. lol really disgusted by the way people are treating Portugal and Primeira Liga honestly...

too tired to properly discuss the whole transfer, but I really wish people would stop and realise that no one man is ever bigger than the club. I know sports fans are dramatic and Madridistas are a special bunch, the comments about this being the "death of Madridismo and Real Madrid as a club" though... :| and will people stop dragging Mou into this? for fuck's sake, Iker could catch a cold and people would blame it on him being benched by Mou.

no @ Rafaella's tattoo. no @ Özil to Juventus. no @ Ramos and Keylor for De Gea. yes @ Basti and Pep stuff, give me more drama/gossip.

Lol, don't worry sis, Bug Eyes is transfer fanfic at it's stupidest. Never gonna happen.

e: Did you see people blaming Mou for Iker's move? "Mou benched Iker 2 years ago which is why he's moving!" and I'm like, "SHUT UP." Ancelotti benched Iker too, but he doesn't get blame because of La Decima. Mou saw Iker for what he is, a world class GK in decline and did the right thing.

good, I can't handle him leaving me again for another club lol :D

and yes! that's exactly what I'm talking about with my comment about people dragging Mou into things. I mean, I knew the conspiracy theories were inevitable but the amount of people who believe in them is unreal and infuriating. I don't get it, how in the world are people linking this shit together? it's absolutely baffling.
