While I was enjoying the Brahms Requiem, Real's title chances died a slow death.
I don't really mind that Bayern lost 4 in a row. But 2 of those 4 were key matches; Pokal semifinal, Cl semifinal. The injuries are too blame too of course but it's kinda painful.

Leicester might as well do the great escape now. Impressive.
The form of Tottenham this season is just incredibly weird.

Bad news here in Belgium; a fourth division player, Tim Nicot suffered a cardiac arrest on the field during a match between friends. Another player and a nurse started CPR before the doctors were there, he is still fighting for his life.

Wow, in the peak of fitness and getting heart attacks! It's enough to stuff my face with doughnuts!

Well the mechanism of the heart attack in a young sportsman is different from the heart attack in an older, obese, smoker. In those cases heart attacks are the result of deformities, mostly in vessels by age, cholesterol, tabacco smoke, .... With young people it's mostly through an abnormal reformation of the heart muscle.

Athletes actually have a higher risk of getting a heart attack at a young age than not-athletes. The more intense you play at the higher, the greater your risk. Strangely enough football players have the highest risk. 1 in 3 athletes who suffer a cardiac arrest are footballers.

wow, Blind is a good-looking mofo! i had no idea...

i'm not a huge fan of entirely red kits & that one really does wash Xabi out. he looks surprisingly good in all-white but blue kit is really where it's at for Xabs

I didn't realise that Alonso had a wonky eye.

Mourinho tried to sign Gerrard three times- Inter, Chelsea and Real Madrid and Gerrard said no each time. He's hit out at the fact that Liverpool pretty much played silly beggars with his contract (LFC didn't offer a contract until Gerrard said so in the press, and the terms they offered were laughable) and bemoaned the fact that Gerrard couldn't do a Totti and retire with his boyhood club. But that's American owners for you.

Hah! I hear you about unpredictability. It's been that kind of a weekend. Who knows? Liverpool might beat Chelsea today- ha hah ha haaaa.

I'm a bit gutted for Burnley because it's never nice to see the wee guy go down, but then again Sean Dyche did diss Armstrong so meh ( ... )

They've been good defensively, they just haven't scored much goals. I wish Ings all the best, but I also wish Liverpool would aim a wee bit higher than signing 9 goals Ings - PL proven or no.

I can understand how difficult it is for Spurs because we've played a lot of games this season (58 so far) and it's hard to strike a balance. At Celtic, we've improved the fitness of the players and not really rotated that much apart from up front. Although I think Spurs played weakened teams in Europa iirc?Yeah, same. I think Celtic and Spurs have played the same number of matches. Not to mention a cup final and Pochettino keeping his side viable in four competitions up till March, showing how they've been run ragged. Which is why everyone wants to be in the CL, because you don't have half the slog like you do with the Europa league. I think Spurs have a clearing out and a reboot to look about. Then for better or worse, Pochettino will have his own team, since Levy has agreed to give Pochettino a free hand (within reason of money I guess) in ( ... )

i'm still mourning after RM's match last night... just like that the hopes of winning La Liga vanished from our very eyes. :(

They have no other choice than to win on Wednesday. Otherwise this season will be a bust. Which is bitter considering our brilliant run somewhere in the middle.

thats so sad to think about, losing the league and CL. besides club world cup and super copa (which both have more to do with 13/14 season not 14/15) theyll win nothing :( its like that winning streak was for nothing

It was a lot of fun. But other than that, it didn't lead to anything.
On the other hand, we're not out of the CL just yet. We need to win but a 1-0 is not an impossible result.
The league looks dead and buried. With the form Barca is in, I don't see them losing the next 2 matches.
