The line up - not one British player.

Aaron Ramsey would like to have a word with you. But do you mean English players? Then yeah. Welbeck was terrible after coming on, Theo needs more play time :(

Ramsey was pretty blunted hereNot really. He was very, very good. Cesc was terrible and got booked and booed for diving at the Emirates, of all places ( ... )

But that's on the media and the organisation on a whole, I think. I wish BBC would actually get on it, and build it up, but I guess the problem with BBC and sports is, after they spend all the time and money building sports up, Sky comes and nicks it from them (see F1, cricket, horse racing) then charges a grip. But still, that being said, I wish BBC would do it, Sky sports stealing the rights or no.

Ahhh did Ramsey start? Yeah, one British player out of a starting XI- so much for the English core Wenger bangs on about, but he's wanting the FA to abolish all barriers for South American talent to get in which is - ha hah ha- no. It's hard enough for British talent to get a look in. When even Chelsea fields two (Cahill and Terry) you know something is wrong.

I don't understand - for all intents and purposes Chelsea won the league? Even if they'd lost to Arsenal (yesterday) and Leicester (Wednesday) it's still sown up. Damn it, Man City, you had ONE job.

Chelsea win against Leicester on Wednesday and Crystal Palace next weekend, they've won the title. And Bayern won the BuLi yesterday.

The BBC will be airing the Women's FA Cup and the Women's World Cup in the summer so that's a start.

Alright, I tend to let things slide and not bother me because I hate being drawn into arguments, but I'm gonna interject here with my two cents because I think this statement is unfair. Wenger has given the English players quite a bit of first team football this season. Let's drill down through some examples ( ... )

Not sure if the Oscar incident was a penalty, because nowadays I really don't understand any more why they do or do not give them (same as handballs). But I am convinced they did not follow their head injury policy, as he definitely shouldn't have played on. From the slow-motion (and the commentators rightly warned sensitive people to look away), he was definitely gone for a few moments at least.

Mad. But that's on Chelsea, because there doesn't seem to be a third party doctor at these games, which is weird, really.

If there was, I can imagine people/managers would be complaining why someone was allowed to play on and another player not, just the way they do about refs' decisions.

imo it technically should have been a penalty, but there are more pressing matters about this incident than that. the fact that he was hit that hard and exhibited signs of the"fencing response" and was still allowed to go on was very shoddy from the medical staff.

one day I'll share a story here about a Scottish footballer rescuing kittens from a tree or something, but in the meantime John McGinn was speared with a training pole by his club captain Steven Thompson because that's a regular fucking occurrence. although I am crying at the photo caption. during happier times like lmao wtf.

It was the Celtic Player of the Year awards last night as well as the PFA ones. It sounds like it was a good night, lol.

Captain Scott Brown was set up as @paulzerdin's dummy for this evening and became 'Tracy' who loves to do Morris Dancing #CelticPOY (NM)

Kelly Clark won the WPOTY, Johansen won POTY and Denayer won YPOTY. No complaints with any of those.

No English players in the Arsenal team? Jeez. Dundee United had 8 Scottish teenagers in their squad yesterday which was pretty crazy. The Celtic squad looked like a UN meeting in comparison.

but can we talk about how Arsenal Legend Aaron Ramsey refused to shake Piers Morgan's hand? Morgan was desperately trying to appear unaffected by it while simultaneously whining so much about it

Used to be the editor of The Mirror a left wing tabloid but resigned due to scandal (I can't even remember which). Cousin of Rebecca Loos (the one who David Beckham allegedly cheated on Posh Spice with- she gave interviews to News of The World), decamped from England to America where he did CNN, the Americans hated him, and he's come back to the UK, I guess.

He's also a high profiled fan of Arsenal, and has been known to tweet Arsene out, make disparaging remarks about his team, and is just plain insufferable overall. One of those journalist who's become the story in a lot of ways.

Apart from what jazzypom says, he was responsible for an infamous newspaper headline during the Euro 1996 stirring up anti-German sentiment by, naturally, likening our team to Wehrmacht soldiers and making the Germany-England match another replay of the war. His wasn't the only newspaper doing it, but he was totally unapologetic about it, rather seemed proud of it (because of course any Germans who might feel offended by being likened to mass murderers who were active decades before their birth just prove they don't have a sense of humour).

And after England lost on penalties, there was rioting, including attacks on German cars or people appearing German, with a young Russian who was mistaken for a German being stabbed. The pre-match press coverage was blamed for this in a large part.
