Last night was the PFA awards (Professional Footballer's Association), so people showed up suited and booted
Mouth breathing Harry Kane got PFA Young Player of the year. What a story.
PFA team of the year
Fat Frank and Capt'n Slippy won PFA merit awards
People were but hurt that Coutinho won over Fabregas. *kanye shrug* Fabregas went AWOL in January, he hasn't been seen since
UGH. Another Chelsea player winning an award. Here is Ji So Yun - voted FSL player of the year. UGH, Chelsea
Miscellaneous match pics - in a hurry so no sustained commentary
Another day, another RM win
Kroos still chugging on
Everton 3- 0 Man U
During the minute's silence for observing the passing of an Everton great (one of the architects of the PL), a Man U fan chose to sing about Hillsborough. Oop
Already thinking about Real Madrid... I see you, Dave
Everton were on fire though. Stones had well... stones
My eyes grew misty over all that good defending.
Blind was missing yesterday. Hair still Pantene perfect though
And it was all yellow
Oh yeah! I forgot Rooney used to play for Everton, and then threw a shit fit when he heard that Manchester United wanted him (refused to train, iirc- and all sorts of alleged things), there's a poster of him up there. I forget Fellani used to be a Toffee too
Get 'em. Everton is now in the top half of the table and proper safety on points with that display yesterday. Although Martinez says that Everton seems to be doing better because they're out of Europa, he's learnt lessons, and the aim is to try and get back to European competition. Reading through his managerial history, yeah, I get it now. This year was the first year that he's had to battle on two fronts- domestic and European. I didn't even realise that he spent most of his footballing career in England (I knew he was a Swans player and manager, but... Wigan though?)
Arsenal 0 - 0 Chelsea
This match was hyped up on my feeds. Hyped. Up. So I took the time out of browsing /r/asianbeauty to have a peep. Only to see Oscar get clattered
Crying! Who did this?! Who did this? Is the snake in midfield supposed to be Fabregas?
Oscar clatter this way. The Chelsea faithful booed when the referee said no penalty. Well, Chelsea are on the way to winning already, they don't need anymore help, I guess?
2 PICTUREs OF FABRE- WHATHISFACE- MIND THE GAP
Ramsey was pretty blunted here
Fabs got another card for simulation.
The game seemed pretty muted at times. Mourinho's anti possession came in play here. His team didn't really seek out the ball, as much as nick it away when Arsenal made a mistake. Chelsea didn't really seem to be bothered going out full attacking. I remember my partner going, "The bastard is going to go for a draw." I was like, "Mou? Nahh, he wants a win, he wants the trophy, Mourinho is unhappy when he doesn't have trophies." El Mister said, "Draw, because Mourinho is a w*nker." So said, so done
The line up - not one British player. But Wenger was the first manager to do that actually, breaking the line as it were. Most of the British players at Arsenal are either sidelined, injured, loaned out to be sold on. Mess
LFC beat Man City Mwahahaahaha.
I need to find better pictures. For all the side eye I give Man City, I do appreciate their support of the woman's game
Gahhh, Chelsea won over Birmingham. Boo! Chelsea is no 1 in the FSL standings, FFS.
Arsenal Ladies beat Sunderland 4- 1 or something like that. Mess.
I'm sure this picture is out of date, but I like it. I really wish more newspapers would report on the FSL. If The Daily Mail did it - at least I'd be assured of pictures and gossip and narrative. Where are the female narratives in this sport. FSWL is an awesome league, yo.
OP: done! Cheers, jeers and pushback- you know the drill. I'll be away so I can't correct anything right now. Bye!
