Sometimes I don't understand Pep's line-ups/tactics and that's usually when Bayern ends up losing or with a draw. Those are the times I miss Jupp the most. tbh, I wanted to slap him on Saturday for subbing off defensive players for ~goal scores~ (Benatia > Ribery) when Bayern was already up by 5 (or 6). This result was karma for being too greedy over the weekend, Josep.

PSG had way more better chances yesterday than Chelsea. They deserved a win but dammit, they just couldn't get that ball in.... aghhh. *payer circle for second leg begins*

Would anyone here be interested in... idk weekly posts about Libertadores? After all, it is the hunger games of continental competitions. There were 4 matches yesterday and 8 red cards, my team is playing a local derby tonight (*starts praying*). Which other competition can provide such things during the group stage? ;)

Yes, I'd be well up for Libertadores jazzypom February 18 2015, 12:56:56 UTC
Especially since it seems to fly under the radar over here (except for the fans who eye up players who'll benefit their systems like a demented football manager). I'd love if you could do it.

Idek about Guardiola, man. But he wants to win the CL, so we'll see. I was SMH at that display last night.

Chelsea had Courtois and tbh, he was a wall, a fricking wall. Nowt could get past him. I was dead impressed.

Yes to posts about Libertadores! We're a little too European-centric around here so it'll be nice to know what's happening in South America!

Hey, Things I learnt today - Bayern Munich THREATENED to leave Bundesliga and play in Serie A in 2003 if they didn't get the lions share of the TV rights, and the powers that be at Bundli caved.

:o That is.. yeah :/
Don't the Bundesliga clubs get a ridiculously small amount of money for tv though, compared to the Premier League? at least that's what i thought, what with some new tv deals in the uk.. idk

Sorry about Götze here. I can't avoid it, but I really like the dynamism in this picture. Such good composition. My partner went on and on about it and said, "Oh it must go in your round up!" My face went like this :/ as I protested with a wail, "B-but Götze!" I got told, "Suck it up, Princess" so I'm sucking it up

Your commentaries are the best xD At least he's out of focus there!

The racist Chelsea fans :/ smh

And, from what I hear, the BuLi's distribution of tv money to the clubs is second to the PL in fairness.

It's a bit weird how it's done jazzypom February 18 2015, 14:15:15 UTC
this article outlines it. It's what you call a parachute model, where the first place gets x amount, then second, etc, etc. Bayern Munich gets the most money TV rights style. That's what La Liga offered, but the lower teams want something closer to an English parity model. Idek. But to be fair, the BL's ticket system is cheap (according to the article) so people tend to go to football matches, and they don't have the pay to view TV like England has (which is good for them, tbh).

Yeah, Bayern at #1 doesn't get much more than BvB at #2 (about 800,000 euros according to the table). Plus, they got 12 million more than Greuther, the last placed team in the BuLi. It's not exactly as even as the PL but still very fair, nonetheless.

Yeah, BuLi tickets are cheap! I checked for BvB and you can get a standing seat for about 7 euros at the Westfalenstadion!

Hey Jazzy, I didn't get to thank you for the link to the article about David yesterday! I guess I shouldn't be surprised that that story is making the rounds again. Always thought it was cute that Ibra convinced him. I wonder what he saw in David? lol

Speaking of the curly haired prince, him playing in midfield wasn't the nightmare I thought it would be. Obviously he has experience there, but that was our first time ever testing that out. Minus that first goal I was happy with what I saw. I hope we put him there more often.

I'm so tired of fans being racist and/or making fun of tragedies and calling it "banter" :/

Ugh, same, and when you call it out, you're the one that's on the spot and the rebuttal is, why can't you take a joke? Ugh.

Did Xabi get a shave?

I thought David Luiz did very well against Chelsea. He worked hard, tackled and fouled but he was impressive in midfield.

Angry Jerome is hot.

TIL- he came close to signing for Arsenal (after leaving LFC) before Real Madrid swooped in.

Really? It would have been one of Grandpère's great coups if he did join us. It would have been weird to have him with us but I guess I would have liked him around anyway. But it would not have gone down well with the Liverpool supporters + Real Madrid is Real Madrid and all, so I won't begrudge him for going to them instead.

But I was thinking, we (Arsenal) never poach players. That last time a player of a top club in the PL left to join us was Sol Campbell. We've become the official feeder club to Man City, United (RVP) and Chelsea (albeit indirectly), sigh.

Lmfao, I think it's more City and Barca, still. Hopefully with the transfer ban, we'll stop the bleed temporarily. But did you see the new president (?) of Barca going "IDK Y WE SOLD ALEXIS, I WOULD NOT HAVE SOLD HIM." Um, well, you can't have him back sry2say

I think Xabi going to Arsenal would've ruined his pristine imagine of ~LFC IN MY HEART 4EVA~ (well obviously). I think I would've lost a little respect for him too. Xabi is surprisingly suave about relations; as has been noted, he is the type of player who is difficult for fans of other clubs to hate on. (Well, unless if you are an RM fan who is bitter he left I guess.)

That's not bad actually! He looks like he's dancing :D

But I wonder how the hardcore Crispy fans, especially on Tumblr, will react to this.

Well, he's not wearing a sign, is he? If they recognise that it's supposed to be Ronaldo, them they're the ones seeing the similarity and think it looks weird. And after all, he hasn't copyrighted his technique, who says that Müller isn't trying to learn? ;-)
