Damn, I should have watched the Fiorentina-Roma match yesterday. I could have used the Mario Gomez button!

Alonso giving up on grooming, and that Mueller guy.

HDU Jazzy, he is not that Müller guy, he's Troll Müller, the biggest, silliest and most adorable idiot around.

He likes dancing to Sister Christian.

If they're going to court the paps again, Alonso needs to step up, or else there's a beauty and and unkempt beast situation going on. :P

To be fair, with the amount of injuries Bayern Munich is recovering from, and their campaigns, I can understand Pep getting another midfielder.

Ah, Mueller is that troll is it? His dirndl is quite fetching, although pink isn't his colour, he isn't iceblondchen enough.

Huntelaar's six-match ban has been reduced to a threefour-match one, with the other three two games added as probation. There is surprise in the media because no one seems to have been aware that there was such a thing as probation in these matters. And people are making jokes on whether he has a "probation helper" (as people sentenced to probation in court have in Germany, a person they are required to regularly be in contact with so they are overseen and get help with rehabilitation).

I know that you can appeal the red cards, and that match bans can be rescinded, but... probation? That's forward thinking.

Apparently they haven't done it before and it is not supposed to be a common thing, but it is an option in case of a particularly long ban and with a player who isn't in the habit of collecting red cars. And really, while the foul was bad and stupid and the gesture at the referee didn't help, we've seen worse things in the Bundesliga that didn't result in six matches ban.

And Boateng said about his red card that in for him the referees always show red anyway.

For those reading German, 11freunde.de has a ticker of Schürrle's presentation, as well as a pre-release multiple choice copy of the speech he will presumably make. (Mostly, they're having fun with the fact that Wolfsburg is basically the most boring, most provincial place imaginable.)

Can't understand a word (now if it was in French, I'd be fine) but I liked that they've linked videos of The Simpsons and Herbie Goes Bananas.

The 13:31 one is:

Schürrle wie ein Realschüler, der einen Preis für Zivilcourage erhält, weil er ein Meerschweinchen aus einer Dachrinne gerettet hat. Tolle Bilder.

"Schürrle (looks) like a middleschool boy who receives an award for civil courage because he saved a guinea pig from a roof gutter. Great images."

Here's some news: Chuba Akpom has signed a new contract with Arsenal. He's not played many games with the first-team and his finishing needs some work but from what I've read, he's done very well with the England youth squads.

Damn. I don't have super strong feelings for Poldi despite being an arsenal and germany NT fan, but I still was rooting for him. :/ I thought he was going to get more playing time at Inter.

I'm guessing he'll probably ask for a full transfer in the summer to a Germany club...though who knows. I just feel really bad for him. I'm not sure if it's entirely Grandpere's fault he was unused, but I can't say this is his fault. Wenger would've kept him on the UCL list at least.
