[just pretend I put a picture here]

LMAO!! Bless your kind soul, Jazzy! Mistress Headband can stay at Real forever. I don't want him back in England. He's already been to the Crispy School of Tackiness; the guys will only make fun of him. But Marca's spreading these stories so I don't know whether they're true. And if they are, Benz shouldn't talk, he was anonymous in that Valencia match. I don't even remember seeing him on the pitch, that's how bad he was.

Poldi in that Inter kit is breaking my heart, sob. But it suits him! Well, if he's happy, then I'll leave it at that.

I'm reading that Arsenal are planning to bring Isco to London! I dunno if it's true (it looks like a silly rumor) but I'm all for it.

Dante had to ask Muller to stop making jokes about the Brazil 7-1 defeatThis is mean of my troll but if you look at it, he is reminding Dante to be a good defender! Making sure that he never forgets that match in order to avoid repeating that terrible defending. What a charitable, thoughtful troll he is! Taking one for the team XD ( ... )

I don't understand why people are suddenly having problems with Bale. He is an individualist but that's why he became a 100M player. He takes the ball, tries to run through the defense and shoots, more often than not he scores. That's how he scored a lot of his goals last season including the one against Barca where he ran almost halfway across the field. He probably scored a lot of goals in his career from chances like those against Valencia so he thought he'd go for it.
But he's not the player for intricate passing movements and elegant goals. He's more in the category of Suarez (without the biting) and Costa (with less fouls), they bully their way through to goal.
Either way I hope they play better against Atletico. I do hope we start with a defensive midfielder next to Toni, otherwise the poor boy has to defend too much.

Not gonna lie, I didn't expect Torres to be in the starting line-up for his first game. Now I'm nervous (although excited as well)! It shall be an interesting game and I hope Atleti manage to win. Btw, it's ''ha vuelto''. :)

Weird to see Poldi in a different jersey, but Inter's kit is gorgeous.

Barça ... what a mess ...

Ha, that's my fault for not checking. Sorry, I will be more careful in the future.

It's tonight! I'll just have to do as much of this Spanish assignment as I can today :S.

Tonight I need to see this. If nothing else, Nando might come on as a sub, I think. They do say that Simeone isn't expecting miracles re: Torres and his form, but he thinks that rumours of his demise has been greatly exaggerated. I hope Torres comes good (not tonight, but sometime this season) because Simone promised Atletico another year if they tried for Torres.

Yeah, SMH at Barca. It seems it's been a long while coming (according to the various culés). So they see it as a bit of a sweeping out.

Oh no, no need to be sorry, I just corrected you because I find it helpful it when someone does it to me.

I just checked again and Simeone specifically said that Torres will start. It seemed a bit risky to me, but I also just saw that Oblak will be in the goal, so it seems he's not sending the strongest starting 11 for la Copa del Rey, even against Real.
When I read that Simeone specifically asked for Torres, my first thought (well, second - the first one was surprise, ha) was that this probably means he's staying for at least another year, yay.
I'm nervous about Torres, I truly hope he does well.

The thing with Barca is that it's not just the board that is messy, but everything. The team just doesn't seem to be all there. :/

yes, thank YOU for the correction, truly jazzypom January 7 2015, 13:51:39 UTC
Yeah, I heard that Simeone was dead set on leaving at the end of this season. Started taking English lessons, was linked to Manchester City- looking to do a "Guardiola" and take a sabbatical. They said that when he went to the board to ask for Torres, they challenged him at first, and then relented when he asked again (because they say Cholo doesn't ask for much), but here's hoping. *fingers crossed* I remember his time at Liverpool, and he was fire then.

Yeah, the team isn't there, because Enrique's training is odd. People don't know if they're going to play until fifteen minutes before match time. Then you find that Barca is getting by on the individual strengths of the players than teamwork of old, and Barca's tiki taka is interpreted by Luca as passing the ball x times, not realising that it's position of play, with other opponents coming out of their positions, and whatnot.

Mess! MESS!

Hey, did you get home okay?

Speaking of Torres, I don't think this video has been posted here (only an article with the quotes)?

I can see why Dante would ask Müller to stop with the jokes... it must be painful for him (and the other players) to relive that day. But the rest of us, Brazilians, are pretty much sassy and we are just like Müller, making jokes about it and all. I mean, today is 07/01/2015 and there are a lot of people on my timeline wishing "Happy Germany's Goals day!" :)

Gr8 picture of Bale, OP!

Happy Germany's Goals day!

Haha, oh dear, sorry.

I suspect Thomas Müller simply doesn't realise the whole scope of the trauma; he'd probably make jokes about his own losses too, after a while, but even in his prior tournament losses there hasn't been anything like it. And then there's his inability to just shut his gob and realise that someone else doesn't find it funny... ouch. I do hope he does shut up about it now. It would be really bad form to rub it in, particularly towards a team mate.

Oh dear, well life is sad when you can't laugh, I guess. But for the players it must have been devastating.
