harry kane to real madrid for £100 mil?

A Real Madrid fan in the reddit forum said that yesterday, the Spurs supporters invited him to 'step outside'. Other supporters threatened to tie themselves to the gates of the Lane if it happened.

But yeah, the title race is getting exciting now. Mou and Chelsea were treating it like a coronation, I'm glad that they got rocked by the Harry Kane.

The Chelsea fans in their subreddit were bitching how the teams only brought their A games to them, and were crying, "Is this was losing feels like? I HATE it!" I was LOL. Welcome to my world, won't you come on in?

That was such an exciting game yesterday! Pleased for Pochettino and his team to no end. And look, he's lasted six months with Spurs! Poch is the first manager in ages to have lasted six months with Spurs. Oh when the Saints come marching in, indeed.

They are probably quite new to football. It has to happen to us all.
Changing a trainer too much is never a good idea.

Right?
Changing a trainer too much is never a good idea.
Yeah, I think Levy knows that now. When Spurs were faltering in October/November (they were doing intensive training sessions, there were issues in the dressing room, etc) people thought that Levy would pull the trigger- but the thing is, Pochettino has been quality, and the fact that he's committed to academy talent (four players in the line up were academy), and seems to just take things on the chin (in press conferences, no matter how good or bad his team does, Pochettino just shrugs and goes, "It's football, yes?") puts him head and shoulders over the last couple of managers Spurs have had before. Yes, AVB included.

I was surprised when Poch decided to leave Southampton to go to Spurs but it's been fun to see him there.

So many interesting matches! I love the pics!

-Everton: what are you doing? Martinez has to find a way to change things around or they are going places where they don't want to be.

-Lamps: well I can understand that he wants to stay in the EPL and the CL for a bit. City needs him now that Touré is away for a bit. But it sounds a bit unfair to the MLS and NYC. He did sign a contract with them.

-Ah Spurs, I'm glad they are picking up steam. They played a great match and Kane had the match of his life. I hope he can develop further at the club. Before being poached by someone rich.
Chelsea got punished. Only Hazard was really good, had a foot in all 3 goals. They do seem to lack a plan B. At least I didn't see it. Plan A is obviously extremely good but I didn't really see players who could turn it around. At Real Madrid, Mou would change things up when it wasn't working but yesterday he had to stick with what he had. PSG will feel a bit more optismistic now.

I'm shocked at Everton, shocked. I do hope that they get back their form and the supporters don't call for Martinez's head as yet. A dip in form happens to us all. I hope that Everton rights the ship soon.

He did sign a contract with them. I thought so too, but it seems that Lampard signed the contract with Manchester City. There was no contract with NYFC, which is why MLS is screaming, because Gerber (the MLS commissioner) should have/would have known this. It's all unclear at the moment, which is why I'm asking people to link news about the moves, thought pieces, etc, here. Especially the American followers ( ... )

It's understandable that Lloris would do that. If a big club offers him first-team play, he could do that. But I'm not sure which that should be right now.
I think that it's very important to give youth players a chance. I read last week that 2 Belgian brothers (15 and 13-years-old) left the Belgian youth for the Man Utd youth. If the youngsters don't get a chance at big clubs than they are just selling lies to these youngsters.Januzaj is the only Belgian player in the PL to have come through the youth academy at a big club in the PL. All the others started small and all had regular playing time at 18.

I read something about Lampard's contract actually being a signing for Man City from the start and not really a loan? But it was always talked about as a loan?? IDK, I didn't fully understand it, lol. Something about a clause that had to be taken out by Dec 31 if Man City wanted to keep him.

Wow, I knew Chelsea and Man City were leveled points-wise, but I didn't realize they have literally the same stats (games and goals).

That ''report'' on Poldi is bullshit, he refuted it brilliantly on Instagram (hashtags included obviously, lmao): I try not to comment on stories I see in the papers, but when I read something that questions my commitment & love for the club then I must speak up! Here 'the Mirror' have tried to make a story out of nothing. I find it incredible that newspapers are allowed to print pure lies to get people's attention. In order to 'storm' off the pitch you have to actually be on the pitch in the first place, I spent the whole session inside with the medical staff. It seems it is 'the Mirror' who stormed to the ( ... )

Oh dear. So those terms weren't stated at the outset? I can see why the Yanks are mad.

Yeah, if Man City and Chelsea maintain the same results at the end of the season, they'd have to have a playoff. One game wins everything. I'm glad to be honest, keeps the league interesting, and with Southampton coming up and Spurs getting better, who knows?

Ah, thank you for that with Poldi. When my internet is steady (still tethering on my phone) I'll correct the entry.

Yeah, I don't really get it, because it was always (even oficially) reported as a loan, no?
Lampard "signed" for New York City FC in July but with the new MLS season not starting until March, he joined Manchester City - who part-own New York City - until January ( ... )

Yeah, it was always coached as Lampard being a loan to Manchester City, and how it worked out because he could be match fit while waiting on the MLS season to begin. It worked for City because he'd be seen as an impact sub, and you always thought that he'd have been going away in January.

Wait, wait, wait. That sounds like some lawyer speak. So he signed as a Manchester City player, not as an NYFC player? Wouldn't the MLS have known this since he's their DP, and they'd have hold both contracts? Oooh, I can see why people are mad at Gerber (the Commissioner of MLS). Ooooh.

okay but seriously, nothing would make my 2015 more than if Chelsea didn't win the league, but Lampard was on the team that did 8)

just the idea of that schadenfreude is so delicious already.

Lol, Eden Hazard has to be "protected". Sure Mou, then what about Alexis who was this close to being killed Charlie Adam? Was Hazard ever in a chokehold?

But anyway, Hazard was the best in a team of terrible players and wow, the Spurs were amazing. Eriksen wasn't quite as anonymous as he seemed, he was playing a bit deeper yesterday, and made crucial passes to Kane, Townsend and Chadli. But boy, that Harry Kane is something! And Chadli was brilliant. Both Kane and Chadli have endured criticism but JT and Dave and the rest of the Chelsea defense just couldn't contain them. Even Matic, supposedly the best DM in the league, didn't mark Kane properly. Cesc was awful (and I've know Cesc at his worst). And Gary Cahill should have been sent off.

As for Arsenal, well we too, were pretty terrible. Our defense had an off day, Alexis was tired, Theo was anonymous and we needed a pure striker. Only Ox worked hard. At least we haven't lost to the Spurs this season or let in 5 goals :D

Hazard has played 88 EPL matches in 2 and half seasons so far. I don't think he's targetted more than any other attacking player. Everyone should just shut up about referees. You try to watch a post-game analysis and the pundits whine about the ref 90% of the time. Players make just as many mistakes during a match, it would be nice if we would see them too. The ref made less mistakes than his defenders anyway so Mou shouldn't talk.

Ah Arsenal. The defense did have an offday but they are always so exposed. I don't know what Arsene tried to do with Chambers in midfield but it didn't work. They could use someone like Khedira, than the defense wouldn't be so exposed.
They can't rely on Alexis and Giroud to score all goals; so I don't get why Wenger freezed out and wants to sell his 4th best goalscorer.

IA, English Sergio is not suited for midfield. He's an excellent defender (despite his 3000 yellows) and he should just stay there. Me thinks that Grandpère has some Pep-esque plans for him; you know convert him into a midfielder like Lahmpoleon. Then again, even Lahmpoleon as a midfielder failed to some extent because Germany would not have won the World Cup with him there.

marsyke January 2 2015, 13:24:03 UTC
True. But Lahm did have 10 years of experience on the highest level before he converted to midfield. Chambers has barely graduated the high school of defending. The reason Pep's experiments work more often than not is because his squad is so good.
Yeah lahm is still a bitter right back than a midfielder and both Khedira and Schweinsteiger are better midfielders than him. Which is no shame.

I don't think now is the time for experimenting for Wenger. They could have done a very good job for the race for the CL places but they failed.
