The Guardian's choice of the world’s best current footballers was selected by a 73 global panel of experts from 28 countries (international players, journalists, broadcasters and Guardian correspondents). Boateng and Alaba are way too low on this list.
Falcao's inclusion is just baffling. He barely touched a ball all year!
Benatia and Isco could have been higher too.

You know it's a shit list when John Terry is ranked higher than Archduke Klose! I know he's a BvB man but why is Miki even on this list? I'd rather have Auba. De Gea over RVP? What a joke.

And the fact that PK's name is there renders this list completely invalid.

I feel I need to point out this part for everyone who is WHA?! about these rankings

was selected by a 73 global panel of experts from 28 countries (international players, journalists, broadcasters and Guardian correspondents)

All of these "experts" are biased as hell. So, they are gonna vote for their faves, their pals, and "names." It's hard to compare different positions, but they could've tried. (It doesn't look like they used any/much hard data really at all with this, which I think should be a consideration with lists like these.)
