Perez is dumb and Sacchi, though he gave the right advice, was dumb for publicizing the conversation. You don't reward your best defender and your vice captain, the one who kept the Decima dream alive, with a salary cut. I know Sergio will stay, without a doubt, no matter what happens in this contract negotiation but still.... dumb. And disrespectful ( ... )

Luis Enrique is a tinkerer, and he seems unsure about the midfield and the defensive line. In addition, the players don't know who's going to play until minutes before the match, so it's an unsettled dressing room at the moment.

On top of that, Messi tends to refuse being subbed, because he seems to have a record in mind, but you see him on the field and yeah, he's a genius, but still tired.

Ramos has always been a mercenary though. He left Sevilla for Real in the first place because he was doing a Kroos and asking for more money, and went to a place that has given him more. Everytime contract renewals come up, he tends to ask for what he can get away with. It makes no sense for him to go anywhere else to start over, if he's had it so good at Real Madrid and there are only so much big clubs that can give him the rivalled successes that he craves. So. Ramos and Real Madrid are made for each other, tbh.

I don't think Sergio left Sevilla only because of money. It's the prospect of having a career. Where would Ramos be today if he stayed at Sevilla? And even if he wanted to stay, Sevilla probably would've sold him to a good amount because they need the money.

Ramos would have left anyway, it is true like they all do. But it's known that he left earlier than Sevilla expecting because he wanted more money (especially compared to the senior players). Ramos didn't get it, so he left. When it comes to renewing contracts, he tends to ask for what he thinks he can get away with. I'm sure Real Madrid will throw money Ramos' way, and they'll continue. They just can't pay him more than Ronaldo because that's another kerfuffle again.

Between Dortmund losing, Liverpool being Liverpool and my football footie fest being shut down, I'm having a bad fandom weekend. :/

homg ugly christmas jumpers!! Yashh!! haha

Yup you spelt Basti right :D that photo was with his brother, if I remember correctly :)

Damn dat booty of Hazard's ;) that's a cute photo of Hazard and Oscar

Mou is such a troll, I just... I dunno with him... Arsene's 'didn't see the incident' responses are better than Mou's... most of the newspapers have now dubbed chelsea's performance yesterday as 'swan lake' lol then what do you say about floppen?

That photo of mats makes me wanna cry and hug him and pat him on the head 'it'll be alright'. Ffs why can't arsenal AND dortmund both win in the same weekend?

Thanks again OP for this post!! :D

LOL, I didn't watch the Chelsea game jazzypom December 14 2014, 11:49:17 UTC
But yeah, I heard about the diving. Wait until the FA starts using video (that's being talked about, it's when they go quiet on the subject, you wait for the announcement of Things To Come) and starts slapping fines left, right and centre. We'll see, then.

The good thing with Dortmund is that they have the month of December to do some serious soul searching. Like I said, I'd give most of the first XI a long rest, and take my chances with the lean and hungry ones on the bench. At least they'll have some sort of passion and using the games as a shop window for better clubs, you know?

Thanks again OP for this post!! :D

No problems! Tomorrow, I might do one when I have tears in my eyes from the Liverpool vs Manchester United match. ;_;

ETA: re those Christmas jumpers with the lights. They do have them at the odd pop up shops that mushroom in odd places at this time of year. You could check there, or in market squares.

I only saw on the newspapers and online, but Hull is v angry at the ref now you know how we feel, hull

Hmmm... I'm trying to decide whether videos will necessarily make much of a difference apart from a fine; it'll be decided after the game no? (But people do like their monies)

That's at least something good about the Bundesliga (and most leagues apart from EPL), that they can try and find themselves over Christmas. Definitely, something's obviously not working with the usual starting ix, he should look to younger players and shuffle things around; something surprising and unexpected might pop up who knows

I might go and have a look, thanks ;) might go to the Christmas Market tomorrow

Awww, yeah liverpool v man u is always a tough match. Hope things go well, or at least not too badly, for your team :)

Yeah, I think the thing with the PL, is that they're supposed to use Christmas to try and bleed the academy prospects in (or they used to to) since the table results tended to shuffle around at this time, and managers tended to hang around a bit longer than they do.

Which is why I'm wondering with the addition of Friday games, will the PL have to think about having some time off? Not necessarily Christmas, but you can't add another 28 games to the already crowded calendar? Something will have to give.

Yeah, Dortmund- Klopp needs to have a heart to heart with the players and just mix it up. The soccerro in goal is better than that Wellenfellow(sp) guy, because he seems fresh and ready to go.

We'll see about Liverpool. Rodgers is already saying that he's the best man for the job, but um... probably midtable, mate. I don't think he understood what a top 4 club was supposed to be. :/

Omg, Arsenal's ugly Christmas jumper party is giving me life. Gibbo's looks similar to the one Ronald Koeman was wearing.

Yes, Basti is easier than Schweinsteiger XD

Dortmund...I have no words. This is the absolute worst.

Lol, the drama with Horse-Face and Perez. I can just sit and laugh at the ridiculousness; I have nothing to contribute to this.

Ramos and Real Madrid jazzypom December 14 2014, 11:38:26 UTC
Those tacky tossers are MFEO - made for each other.

Ramos always asks for what he can get away with when it comes to contract negotiations and same with Real Madrid. They always take some time to trash out, but I can't see Ramos leaving Real tbh. No other club is going to give him what Real Madrid has, and it's not like he has odd circumstances like Alonso did so.

Ugh, Dortmund. Between them and Liverpool.... sobriety vows are taking a beating. Honestly.

To be fair, Granero had no problem with Mourinho? jazzypom December 14 2014, 11:45:29 UTC
Mourinho didn't push him out of the club, iirc. Mourinho wanted him to stay at Real Madrid, but the club deemed him as surplus to requirements and he was sold to QPR. Then left QPR for Real Sociedad when QPR got relegated.

For all of Mourinho's public machinations, as a coach, his requirements seem to be straightforward. As in, he'll play you on merit, and his brushes with certain Madridistas were that they were on the team from past glories instead of working in the present.

Messi is tired. I always thought he came back from the World cup and into training too early.

Alonso is glad that people are asking him about Guardiola instead of Russian Red and the rumours, tbh. Notice that no lawsuit or retraction from the newspaper has come about. Also, Alonso doesn't kid when he says that he's his coach's player. He really toes the line - until he thinks that he's disrespected, then he just leaves.

Re: German clubs and public training sessions, that I don't know.
