Thanks, OP! Your posts are always the best!

Fell asleep five minutes into the PSG/Barca match and woke up just after it ended. Brilliant goals all-round from err, MSN and Zlatan. I didn't want Man City to go through but okay, I'll live with it. Anyway, Monday's draw should be interesting! Fingers crossed that Arsenal and Dortmund don't get difficult teams (PLEASE, NOT BAYERN/BARCA/REAL MADRID). Poor Neverkusen, they have the worst draw possible.

Nice to see Valdes get some recognition, he's always been so underrated.

Arbeloa, people hold your team to a higher standard because unlike the rest of the footballing world (except maybe for a select few clubs), you guys have a $300 million (I'm not sure if that's the right number but it sounds plausible) attack force. There's no comparison between Real Madrid and say, Eibar.

Pique's outfit is the highlight of this post, tbh. How did it get past Shaki's radar? I'm assuming she's not in town. And I didn't know Silva was back in action. Good to know! I'm not a City fan at all but I like a lot of players there like the Argies and the Spaniards so, you see my struggle.... lol. re: Navas, I think it's because he's a very reserved person so he's not really in a rush to master the English language? He doesn't like to travel, gets homesick often, so he strikes me as the kind of guy that will go back to Spain and retire there, not in England.

Additional news, I guess:
- AC Milan might terminate Nando's loan contract because of his inconsistency. :/ Poor guy. He's fallen so hard. 1 goal in 10 appearances? Balotelli has appeared in 9 PL matches and he hasn't scored once.
- Because Pepe was mentioned in the post, he donated 9000 kg of food and distributed it to over 200 families in Madrid. A nice gesture for the holiday season.

No one wants to buy Balotelli at this time, so I think he'll serve out the season. Oy, well, Torres is rich enough to retire, no? He doesn't seem to be one to be splashing the cash all over the place.

Maybe Torres can turn to modelling. Put his boyish freckled looks to good use. His performance hasn't been very good but his name still has value, I guess.

As for Balotelli.... uhhh... well, at least he didn't come in with a high price tag.

Yeah, he came for what, £16million? I doubt if Liverpool will recoup half that cost. His agent must be laughing. Oh well, it be like that some times.

Idek about Torres, to be fair.

GODDAMN CITY Y'ALL ACTUALLY DID IT!!!!

now we just wait for the draw. as a new UCL watcher, i have no idea about the seedings. how do they pick who's going to play against who? is it completely random or do they have a specific formula?

The teams can't be from the same leagues, can't have faced each other before (in this season's competition) apart from that, I know nothing. We'll see come Monday. UEFA's rules

Yeah, City showed up and showed out. Joe Hart was goalie and defence, because City's defence was shaky and Roma had chances, was strong. Dunno what Pellegrini told them in the dressing room, but they came out fighting. I'm sad for Totti (Roma) because I have a soft spot for one club footballers, but I'm glad that there are three English teams in there. Yassss....
