I didn't watch any of the matches yesterday, but I'm really happy for Poldi scoring twice :')

Ahhh, Liverpool... it's not even surprising anymore... *sigh*

Wow Real congrats for not losing focus. I can understand that the Ludogorets player wanted to keep his team alive but getting sent off and conceding a penalty is maybe a good idea in extra time but not after 15 minutes ( ... )

Can we talk about how Monaco won the group and only scored 4 goals.

What the fuck

Still scored more goals than Liverpool, more than likely. Christ. Good for Monaco though, really.

Liverpool actually scored 5 goals.

So you ~could've won the group~

Luckiest draw, or luckiest draw, man.

Key is that they conceded only once; lowest of all CL teams.
Even Real and Chelsea conceded 2, Atletico 3 and all the other teams 4 or more.

A highly defensive approach can bring you somewhere. Mou would be proud.

I thought Ludogorets would put up more of a fight to be honest. None of the goals we scored were pretty except the one in the end by bb Medran, with Jese's assist. <3 I love it when canteranos do well in the senior team.

Would've loved to watch Arsenal's match live. Very happy for Poldi and god, I am so glad Debuch is back. God knows he was a missing piece in our defensive puzzle.

Go off, have an adventure even if it's in the MLS, shadow some coaches and then come back to Liverpool - if you want to.

but you know stevie wouldn't, is the problem. he wants to be a one-club man. tbh if he was going to leave, he should've left when xabi did, when he still had some good years left in him.

ugh

Well, the thing is, and I know that Gerrard doesn't bang on about it as he probably should do (he's only ever said one line about it in his autobiography, iirc)- but his cousin was one of the 96 that got killed in the Hillsborough tragedy. He went to a football match, never returned, and was one of those that got their names slandered by The Sun.

The understanding was that if Liverpool challenged for titles, and had a bigger profile (wins and such) the powers that be couldn't ignore the fact that 96 people got killed, and that the Tory government (under Thatcher) along with The Sun that slandered the victims' names. I've always got the vibe that he couldn't have left until the 96 got their justice, and that only happened say what, last year?* The fact that he got as far as personal terms with Real Madrid (Mourinho was courting him hard) and he stepped away at the final minute, was really down to his affiliation with his club. I think he'll leave now, because everything's come to light, but I honestly only think that he couldn't ( ... )
