OMG, Manquillo and the lovechild are so adorable together!

I agree about the Japanese kit, it is beautiful. Shinji looks adorable in it.

Updates on the adorable Troll:

Müller only bruised, nothing serious, according to German broadcaster ARD
- Raphael Honigstein (@honigstein) November 18, 2014

The NT will be running some tests on him today to see if he'll be alright by Saturday. And I still want to kill Ramos.

Finally, de Gea should be fit enough to start against Arsenal on Saturday (oh, great :/).

They seem to be good sports, I'll give them that. Moreno was (understandably) a bit sad about leaving Sevilla and coming to Liverpool, but he's gotten over it, and giving full shifts, so yay. Manquillo just- he just seems to take everything on with an even keel. From losing bets and being on the end of pranks with Jose Enrique and being sidelined for Glenn Johnson at times (WHYYYYY????), he's just - switched on and about his business. I admire that.

That is a very charitable translation of what Müller actually said. "Meine linke Arschbacke hat's ziemlich erwischt" - "My left ass cheek has been caught quite heavily". And the online media is quoting it with glee. I bet he's getting some mockery at home for that injury, too.

Lmao, I love that he was able to infuse humor into the situation.

Grant Wahl has done a series of articles on Bayern Munich which will be featured in Sports Illustrated this week. Here is the opening article: Inside the Superclubs: How Bayern Munich emerged as a world power

After Pep Guardiola spat his dummy on the field, with Carl Porter in full view of everyone, it wasn't a first great impression of Bayern Munich the club. Fair play to them.

Props to Bayern Munich for going into Eastern Germany after the wall came down and making inroads. I knew friends in Frankfurt who had nothing but bad things to say about the former East Germans when the wall came down at first (they were a multicultural group who got harassed by people from the East when they came into the former West Germany - long story).

“Every day I feel this is my place,” Schweinsteiger says at Bayern’s headquarters on the leafy Säbener Strasse, in southern Munich. He grins. “I know all the people here. I even know where all the toilets are.”

Oh, Basti.

I'm pretty sure he -- they've all -- moved several times in their lives by now, but the the stadium and the club and the training grounds are permanent.

The stadium, not entirely :) The Allianz Arena was constructed only in 2005. Opened in time for the '06 WC. Up until then, Bayern and 1860 played all of their matches in the Olympic Stadium.

It's strange that for such high flyers, they keep floating under the radar. Sorry about that!

Yes, van Gaal was there, because it was at Old Trafford, and Angel Di Maria was playing. So yeah, they would do. Man, the French kits are divine. I'm glad that they are keeping this design for a while.

Haha. It's okay. France is probably one of the most under-appreciated European NTs, as far as I can see from the internet. The country is just rich in footballing talent. They come by the truckloads at every league (the EPL, especially). I just think they warrant some attention this time around since they're the Euro 2016 hosts. (Often forgotten as well since they only really get to play friendlies.) The kits are so elegant and classy~ I may support teams with a lot of red and white but damn, do I love the color blue on a jersey. All shades of blue.

Yeah, because they only play friendlies right now, it's not really seen as something to report on.

Well, over here, at least.

Germany and Spain do get headlines because they're the reigning vs former champions so it's easy to write narratives around that pair.

In addition, France doesn't seem to have a marquee name just yet, for good (it means that everyone in the team is doing the work) or ill (e.g. Ronaldo for Portugal, Casillas for Spain).

Pogba is up and coming but not yet there. Varane could be, but with Pep and Ramos being starting XI, it will be a while before he really gets to shine in Real Madrid's crown, Greizman is good, but he's not in a big two club that everyone knows (although Atleti is carving a name for itself). Giroud keeps getting injured... but it's probably good for France in the long run. They can work out the kinks in their team, and stun for Euro 2016.

I was so happy for the portuguese bb that scored the goal against Argentina. It was only his secon cap for the senior NT.
I missed the second half of Chile vs Uruguay because of ... sleep. I know It was just a friendly, but YOU HAD ONE JOB, CHILE. YOU HAD ONE JOB.

On the ridiculous brazilian NT capitancy drama, the last thing I'll say on the subject is that Neymar sure is a pro at the pr game. That kid will go places.

Neymar has some emotional intelligence that rivals the best politicians out there, I'll say that. Keeps his ambitions close, and his charm even closer. But yeah, I'm with you. I just thought I'd report on it because it came on my feed?

I'd have more pictures, but I think because I do these things so early, they don't hit the wires. D:

That wasn't a dig at you bb! You do your thing. I was just being bitchy because of all the ~dramatic~ pieces on the subject I had to endure while trying to watch the news here lol. My football timeline was hilariosuly merciless about it yesterday tho. So the whole deal wasn't completely useless lol.
