Perez: Khedira's injury happened with the NT

Sep 05, 2014 17:04

Seems there is a difference of opinion between the DFB (Deutscher Fußball Bund) and Florentino Pérez. While the DFB insists that Khedira was already injured when he joined the team for the friendly, Pérez says Khedira was fine when he left Madrid to fly to Germany. Of course - and how could it be otherwise - it's all a matter of money and insurance ( Read more... )

The DFB is outraged Madrid would lie about when he picked up his injury.

And they aren't letting it go.

Bierhoff has said AGAIN that Sami arrived injured and DID NOT TRAIN.

Yeah. I know.
Seems Madrid is so desperate for insurance money, they would not mind lying their asses off.

They just want the money ;)

And yeah - it is great.

Marca and As are already having fun with it.

The fact that Bierhoff referred to Mueller-Wohfahrt as "a reliable doctor here" that Khedira could consult is doubly amusing.

He's the DFB's chief medical guy. But also Bayern's :P

Didn't the same thing happen with Ronaldo's injury during the WC, like RM doctors told him he was fine and then the Portuguese NT doctors were shocked by the damage?

(Of course then crispy is like "I'LL decide when I play" but incompetent Madrid doctors is totally a thing.)

Seems like it.
Doesn't really give you any kind of confidence when it comes to RM.

He didn't play and as far as we can see he didn't train either so he picked up the injury during his flight from Madrid to Germany or beforehand.

Sporting injuries are not easy to treat, so it's difficult to say from afar. But in cases like this, it's always about the money and not the player.

I'm starting to understand why FIFA insisted on flying players with small injuries to the hospital by helicopter this World Cup.
