This article was incredibly condescending. Teenagers are too dumb to know anything about the reasons for their actions, and they need a book written by "a bona fide grown-up" (who, at 63, is probably about as far removed from the behavior and motivations of teenagers as the Earth is from Pluto) to explain it all to them.
