Unless they can magically manage to release her album by next week it's going to flop. No one will still care by the time it's released.

According to some rumors, she was already on her way to a record deal before the show and went on Idol to maximize exposure. I think they prob wanted her to last a little longer, but the shock value might help.

Still, she'll have to have an impressive first single for anyone to care by the time this is out.

There are certain contestants whom I really want to hear original music from, rather than covers. Scotty and Pia are two of them. Much as I disliked her on the show, I'm really looking forward to her album's release. Congrats, girl!

That's what I thought too which makes me frown a little but I guess I'm happy for her nonetheless. =/

They changed labels from Sony to Interscope so they basically have first dibs to sign any of the idols. It's just that Sony used to wait until Idol is over to start working on it or even announcing it I think.

LOL, what's the point of trying to win Idol when the 9th place finisher looks like they might have an album done and released before the winner/runner-up even start on theirs?

I mean, good for Pia, but the she's a ~plant rumors are probably true then.
