I think that once Idol contracts are up Ellen will sign some...I can def see her signing Alex and also that Girl who she had on her show who tried out 3 times and can't try out again

No. Ellen talked to Kara and got her to write a song for her, plus paid for the studio time to record it I believe. But I don't think they actually got her a deal.

From what I remember, and I could be wrong, she said that Kara was going to write and produce a single for her and then "WORK" on getting her a record deal...so this could be that "worK"

I do see how it would be good if she helps former idols with a record deal but I think it should be those that make it into the top 12 or something because at least you're shown more of what they're capable of in the big stage. Josiah and Alex basically only had one good performance but who knows how they would have ended up, because Andrew had Straight Up and then kinda performed badly for the next few weeks. But, I'm biased because I hated Josiah and Alex. LOL

I don't see why they can't, you know, earn it through original music. Demos, indie, whatever.

But I am so fucking sick of 'a mentally / emotionally damaged ten year old might think you're cute...quick! go record an album to cash in, twit who can't sing or even enjoy music!'

I always just think it's odd to sign kids for an album and especially boys since their voice may change when they hit puberty. lol
