Yeah...Elena had found a few things to take up some of her free time. But Tseng's obviously figured that much out. That didn't mean that it didn't likewise feel like an eternity for her too. Because there was a small voice in the corner of her head that just kept whispering the 'what if's. What if he was in trouble? What if, for one reason or the other, he wasn't coming back? What if this was the beginning of the end ( ... )

Reno had only one burning question, and Tseng had left him hanging-- no, not only left him hanging, but rejected him, twice. Like a badly behaved kid who was being particularly nosy. Which wasn't exactly far from the truth either. At least it was incentive, though, for the redhead to actually show up to a meeting relatively on time. He was even wearing pants.

With Rude in tow, Reno arrived at headquarters after Elena, his entrance much more leisurely than the Turk before him. Sure, he was glad to have the boss back, like the rest of them. The pack was a bit headless without the Alpha, but then again, his absence had given the Beta time to slack even more than usual-- something Reno wasn't going to complain about. But, then again, with too much laziness came restlessness. It was good to be getting back to work.

"Yo," Reno gave his usual greeting and a lazy half-salute on entering the room. He wasn't in uniform-- no, he was going to enjoy ever last possible second of street clothes that he could, even if he was secretly glad about ( ... )

Tseng also arched a brow at Elena's comment. But he had a question of his own. "Were you the cause of the near-accident outside?" She needn't answer. He already knows. He's like a Jedi that way ( ... )

Elena blinked when the other two Turks joined them, still a little uncertain about her waking state until Reno pressed a kiss against her cheek. She sighed then and slipped into a chair, waiting for the meeting to start ( ... )

Rude followed Reno into the office, however, unlike his partner he was not only wearing his suit but it was as immaculate as ever. Tseng being away hadn't impacted his lifestyle much, except that he'd been left with the duty of looking after Reno and Elena. Which, with the auction had proved to be a pricier duty than he had expected.

Rude nodded to Elena and then to Tseng before he stood beside the desk where Reno was sitting. Tseng's compliment earned yet another nod and Rude didn't feel the need to voice any thanks. However, when Tseng got to the point of the meeting even he couldn't hide his surprise, though it was only expressed with raised eyebrows. He coughed into his hand, then cast a glance at Elena before pointedly NOT looking at Reno.

He expected Reno to react as strongly as Elena, but he had a feeling he'd be hearing much more about this later. After all, it was quite clear how much the two Turks had enjoyed the benefits of Tseng's wealth.

"...We'll need more jobs." He shrugged, clearly not heart broken.
