"Now when's the last time we've done this?" Jushirou remarked as he walked up to Shunsui's position, gazing into the sky above with a soft grin. So many memories...the sky didn't look that different from the one at home even if he was oceans away...

"Too long, I think the last time your hair was short" Shunsui replied, before scrutnizing Jushirou's hair's currently length. "500 years or so?" He asked, teasing as always, but tripling up the blankets where Jushirou would sit, just to prevent any damp earth giving him a chill.

"It's a beautiful night for it, I've never seen so many fireflies" He said, looking around at the trees that were lit up more than Christmas. A few of the little bugs soundlessly drifted by.

"Gosh, it really does feel like that long though," Jushirou spoke as he took a seat next to his long time friend and sighing. It was beautiful though...and quite nostalgic. He was glad he had gotten all of his paperwork done early...

"Care to pour my a drink, Shunsui?" he asked, giving a soft smile.

"It would be my pleasure" Shunsui grinned back, pulling a cold bottle of sake out of a cooler. He filled Jushirou's cup and then his own. "Hm, just out of curiosity, did you drink this much without me, or am I turning you into a lush like me?" He asked, settling in comfortably and looking skyward.

Okita looked around the park for a sign of anyone who was out for a bit of moon watching. He has indeed packed fire works, a few harmless ones, large illegal kinds, and even a few rockets.

The boy enjoyed blowing things up...or should it be people?

He had most of the harmless ones in his bag as he walked towards the blankets. " oi, are you the moon watcher?"

"We're over here!" Shunsui called out. "So you did bring some fireworks" He grinned maybe more than a grown man his age should. ...Well, a man of any age likes to see stuff get blown up.

"Hungry?" He asked.

" I did, smaller ones for those weak of heart, bigger ones for the more adult like, and for me? That is a secret." Okita replied softly as he set the bag down.

"What do you have to eat?"

"All kinds of things, I just told them I wanted some of everything that was good" Shunsui pointed to the boxes of carry out. "The dumplings are delicious."

As promised, Lulu made her way to the park to 'see if the company was to her liking,' dressed to impress as always. She only hoped she wouldn't interrupt any too intimate courting rituals on her way...not that it would have bothered her in the least.

He hadn't planned on coming...or didn't say anything about it really. But when he heard that Lulu might be out there, something compelled him to turn off his gaming console, get off his ass, and get down to the park. Something he was still trying to understand...

He showed up dressed rather casually for once...just a black t-shirt and jeans. His hair was barely brushed as well...just plain old Soiree. He gave a smile to Lulu.

"I guess I came out tonight after all..."

Hearing that familiar voice, Lulu turned, a smile breaking over her face like...well...like moonrise. Now this company was most definitely to her liking.

"Soiree," she said, blinking stars from her eyes as she caught his hand and drew him in for a kiss on the cheek. "I'm so pleased to see you."

She laughed then, and some of her usual teasing returned as she said, "If I didn't know better...I'd think you were stalking me."

"Well, it was either this or spend all night on my duff playing video games," Soiree chuckled, rubbing the back of his head. The kiss caused his cheeks to flush slightly as they always did. But this was something he had gotten used to...hell, he even liked how she got him to act like that.

"I've never really done anything like this before, you know? Most of my nights are spent indoors."

Walking into the park, Kairi noticed she managed to make it there before everyone left. She had gotten back from her friendly dinner date with Ulquiorra not too long before then, and she figured she had enough time to change her clothes before heading out to the park.

The redhead caught a glimpse of Jushirou and Shunsui and slowly made her way over, her hands clasped in front of her. She stopped a few feet away and smiled at them. "I told you I'd show up," she chimed cheerily.

Jushirou didn't move from his position leaning against Shunsui, but did turn his head to give a bright grin to Kairi, raising his glass in a wave to her. "Welcome, welcome!", he said to her. Seemed like the small gathering was coming together.

"You look lovely, as well! Find a seat, help yourself some food. Can I pour you a drink?" He asked, eyes lightening up.

Kairi simply smiled in return before looking up at the sky. She watched the stars twinkle silently, and she realized that she couldn't remember ever looking at the stars. Glancing at them, maybe, but actually staring at the sky to see how beautiful they were was something new to her.

Making a quiet sound of disapproval as she thought of it, she realized that she probably couldn't even point out any constellations. Kairi really needed to actually look more often. At least the fireflies were a comforting presence. She could pretend that the stars were there beside her, moving around her.

... Did she really have that active of an imagination, or was her head in the clouds tonight?

Shunsui's voice brought her back down to earth, though. "Oh, thank you! I already ate, but I'll take a drink." Kairi smiled as she took a few steps closer to them and sat down, making sure she wasn't too close to or too far from them.
