WHAT: A liberation of sorts for a lost little girl.
WHERE: Converted warehouse, industrial sector. Neutral territory.
WHEN: Friday, Day 32.  One week after the fashion show.
WARNING: Violence will ensue. You have been warned.

From the passenger seat of his car, Ichimaru Gin sat studying the dainty lady's parasol that sat in his lap.  For all of Spanner's previous reservations in delivering it, he had to admit that the young mechanic had outdone himself.  Turning over in his hands -- well as best as he could in such a small space -- he tested its heft and its weight carefully.  It seemed harmless enough, and would pass as any other parasol.  Grasping the curled handle tightly, he twisted slightly and then pulled; the polished wood seemed to disengage some kind of catch and as he withdrew it slowly a blade appeared like a sword from a sheath.  "Ara," Gin cooed to Hei who sat silently in the driver's seat, "That Spanner is such a clever one, naa?  Rhode-kun will be pleased with her new toy."

Pausing, Gin took a moment to glance out the window.  Although he knew the streets of Reggio Calabria fairly well, the industrial sector was one he tended to avoid unless paying a visit to Spanner.  He had known  that a plan as clandestine as this required utmost precision and subtly. As a result, he had conceded the keys to the car to Hei, knowing that his particular driving style would not lend itself to a quiet approach.

As they neared their destination, Gin mused on his decision to inform Gavin. Despite the respect he had for the man's cruelty and his ambition, there were of course always limits to how far a man would bend his loyalties before ultimately having to betray his own interests.  But, as far as Gin could tell, the Vescovo had been forward and open with the information that he had, even offering to aid in Rhode's retrieval if necessary.  At first, Gin decided to refuse the offer, but recanted, instead allowing his curiosity and desire to knowledge and insight to get the best of him.  Perhaps, he shrugged, it would turn out to be an unwise decision.  But between himself and Hei, Gin imagined the man wouldn't be foolish enough to pose a real threat.

Eventually after a long silence, he nodded towards Hei, asking in a harmless tone of voice:  "Ara, Hei, this is your first time working alongside a Vescovo, naa?  You must promise it will be our little secret."  He grinned.
