Oh not clever, my dear, simply well-prepared. One can never be too sure who'll they'll need to impress or convince. And I find speaking someone's mother tongue just so much more convenient, don't you agree?

Communication is very important, isn't it? Well, I'm sure with all your valuable skills, you'll find work easily here.

I am hoping so, though I must admit I find some of the people round here a bit...how is a good way to put it...territorial? Perhaps outsiders are not as welcomed here as I had hoped, which has put a bit of a damper on my search.

One can never be over-prepared, don't you find, my dear? Tell me, a fine Japanese flower such as yourself would know better than most -- where can a man find a good cup of warm sake?

I suppose, ne... Mou~ I'm not entirely familiar with the area, ne. I moved in just a week ago and still am trying to settle down--Mm, but I've been recommended to a bar, Seventh Heaven, and a tea house establishment, ne~

As I haven't visited either yet, perhaps another new kid on the block wouldn't mind accompanying me, hai?

That, my dear, is the most sensible thing I've heard all week.

Sark. Julian Sark. And what might your name be, my dear? Hopefully something befitting your beauty.

Wait. Do you know me?

Nice of them to note short term memory loss in your files. Either that, or you're drunk out of your mind again.

My name is Peter Petrelli. I've been assigned to watch you. Ring any bells?

Ah yes...Mr. Petrelli. Where is my head, how could I forget?

It's lucky thing that you've found me, yes? One minute, there I was, settled in and quite content, and the next minute -- wondering the streets like a stray. Nasty little thing, alcohol, can lead you to all sorts of mischief.

I suppose, though, this means, I should be returning home. Perhaps you'd be so kind as to...point me in the right direction?

I appreciate the compliment, but unfortunately it doesn't seem to be getting me anywhere. You, perchance, wouldn't happen to know of anyone who is in need of my skills?

Mm. We deal with foreign businessmen all the time. I'm not so bad with the Romance languages, and I'm learning uh, the basic honorifics for Japanese but I'm pretty much fucked when it comes to other things, and I know my boss'd uh. Appreciate it. If we had a translator around.

Honestly? Bloody hell, you have no idea how much that's music to my ears.

As for foreign businessmen, I have plenty of experience. In fact, in my previous profession, that was one of my primary responsibilities. I also have a background in sales, networking, and minor forms of subterfuge.

What do you and your boss exactly do, if I may ask?

Welcome.

Ah yes, the study of languages can sometimes be quite tedious, though I find all the effort pays for itself in the end result.

And thank you, for your welcome, Miss...?
