Old habits die hard

Am I so used to getting close to people for work that when it comes time to do it for pleasure, I've forgotten how not to end up completely over my head? I'm rushing and wanting things to happen that don't have to happen. I'm not getting paid for that anymore, Gottverdammt. Louise would laugh his ass off if he knew what I've got myself into.

Thinking too much, that's all. There's a lot I should probably tell you at some point.

If I do, things might make more sense.

Most people are useless, backstabbing sons of. No idea why you'd want to get close to them.

...Then again, if you were a whore before, maybe you're just not used to not getting any?

I HAVE NEVER BEEN A WHORE!!

But I still have faith in humanity, unlike most of this city and this planet.

I'm a little bitter and a little jaded, but there are some things I never had to resort to to get by.

Good to know I'm not alone, then. I hope I can get work and pleasure more clearly separated in my head before things get too messy.

Look at it this way: at least you have some drive to get close to people at all. It would be a poor thing indeed if you lacked that, yes?

rideonmyharley November 25 2008, 23:27:03 UTC
If I ever lost that drive, I wouldn't be me.

Well, then you should perhaps consider yourself fortunate. You have all your limbs, you have your mind, you have your health. What more do you desire?

Someone God won't take from me too damn soon, like he has twice before.

It's not a girl.

Er...well...boy trouble, or whatever. Same diff, I think.

The trouble's all on my end. I'll be okay, but for now I'm confused.
