It's sad. A lot of people really didn't understand what voting yes on this meant...
Most people just saw it as making sure same-sex marriage wouldn't happen...and even then, who are we to take away the rights of others?
I always thought America was about freedom.
I'm disappointed in 64% of Florida bigtime.

yea i know what u mean..it fucking sucks and people were not truely informed about this amendment..they only voted yes cuz the first line said "gay" they did not read down where it said something about "any union" that is not reconginzed as marriage even between man and women

it is very tru same sex marriage does not really effect the daily life of people so i dont know hwy they care soo much..and r sooo against it

my poor mama!!! it funny though i told her to vote no on it cuz she was not going to vote for or against the amendmetns and after i explained it to her she was pretty upset and voted NO..

but when i talked to her today she was like w/e if ne thing happens to your step-dad and he has to go to the hospital or something like that im gonna lie and say that we r married..LMAO

WHY SHOULD THEY HAVE TO!!! THEY ARE HAPPY JUST BEING TOGETHER..should they get married just so they can say that they are..what would it change between them? why does it matter to so many people just becasue they dont have a Marriage Certificate?

my mom has been married 3 times before and my step-dad was married once before for 18 yrs and you know how that ended so im not going to get into that whole story..but bascially he had to pay out the ass and shit..they both decided that they did not want or need to get married again...but ne way they have been together since i was like 2yrs old..so in my eyes he is my step-dad with or without being techinally being married!!!!

i never said they want "marriage benefits"..they just want to be together and be happy
god for bid anything happend to one of them the other should be able to sit by their side in the hospital or have some say in their affairs if the other wanted it that way.

so r u telling me that since i am not blood related to Daniel (my step-dad) that if he went into the hospital i could not be by his side either because him and my mom are not techinally married??? when he has pretty much been my fater figure and raised me!!!
