Amendment 2???
"This amendment protects marriage as the legal union of only one man and one woman as husband and wife and provides that no other legal union that is treated as marriage or the substantial equivalent thereof shall be valid or recognized."
The amendment, now that it has passed, prohibits people in domestic partnerships and anything else other than marriage from privileges such as hospital visitation rights, burial rights, prison visitation rights, and health benefits.
So people in domestic partnerships will have no say in the lives of their partners.
ie) my mom and her boyfriend who have been together since i was two are fucked!!!
If something happens to either one of them and they end up in the hospital they will now not be allowed in the room..
