Here A small smile slips out when he tells me he wants to help. Of course he does, I know he does. That's what he's been doing this entire time. Well, aside from the confusion and the fact that he had to open his mouth again. But... not the time to talk about that now. Or think about it. We need to think about swimming now.
"We shall," I agree, the small smile staying when he jokes about keeping my head above water. It's a little bit painful, since that's what had started the whole mess in the first place. My not being able to hear his explanation. I'm hearing it now though, complete with hand puppets. Hmmm, the hand puppets again.
I look at him carefully though. Taking in every movement he makes with his arms and keeping a close eye on his body. I'm not to concentrated to appreciate how gorgeous he looks in the moonlight, how graceful he moves. Back to focus on the swimming lessons though. I think I've got it, now all I need is the courage to do it.
Which wont be by wrapping my legs around his waist. I can't bloody well keep clinging onto him everytime we go near the water. "I think I can do it without the...uh...the clinging. Heh." Another weak smile before I glance over my shoulder out over the lake. Let's not think about how deep and dark that thing is. Angel's right here, holding onto you.
"Alright, I'm ready. Let-lets do this." Taking a deep breath, I nod at him and wait for Angel to take a hold of me before carefully and very, very slowly leaning backward. I can do this, I can do this. Angel's right there. Just, keep floating, toes above water and flap your arms.
