Happy New Year!

I usually write something at the year end, and this year is no exception.

The first photo of the year, was this one of Big Ben and the fabulous fireworks in London on the stoke of midnight. Wish I'd been there as the atmosphere is tremendous, but a shot of the TV screen had to suffice.

- You should definitely read Hunger Games. Books 2 & 3 aren't nearly as good as 1 - I'm tempted to tell you to just read the first and pretend it is a standalone novel.
- Also read "The Night Circus." You will love it.

Michael Connelly is a very successful crime writer, and used to be a crime journalist in LA. He creates good characters, and somehow manages to make you care about them and what happens to them

Great photos! Dubailand looks awesome, I will have to check it out. There is an entire abandoned railroad here in KSA that I look forward to getting to in a couple of months.

Looks like 2011 was eventful for you. I love the photos you've chosen, especially Dubailand, the Disneyland that never was. It's crazy how quickly things can change.
