Rabbis will always try to discourage a divorce, except in the most extreme cases such as adultery or violence.

However what about rabbis telling a woman "You are not a normal woman! You are crazy! You must be a horrible mother!" or something along those lines?

This is just one person's hearsay. If people enjoy bashing rabbis, why not visit stormfront.org?

Like I explained in my post, this woman does not enjoy bashing rabbis, she respects them and conforms to all aspects of Orthodox observance. There is no reason for me to doubt her account.

So, to clarify, it is okay to extrapolate about atheism from the actions of a few atheists, but it's not okay to extrapolate about Judaism from the actions of a few Jews? Gotcha.

It's actually been my experience that Orthodox rabbis practice a sort of reverse discrimination when it comes to men. "Your wife screams all the time? Well of course, she's only a woman. You're the man. You've got to be strong. You've got to have patience. Suck it up."

why do you think that this is respectful and supportive of women?
