Here's an interesting interview that starts off sounding like your typical off-the-derech story.

Girl grows up in an insular Chassidic environment, is married off at age 17 and has 3 kids by the age of 23. She then divorces her husband, leaves her community and starts working on degrees and careers.

why do you think she went OTD? why do classify her as having left so totally? she continued to live in a frum community, go to shul, all that. she's been religious her whole life. She just didn't want to belong to that particular brand.
Their are plenty of people in liberal Jewish streams, some even taking a leadership role as rabbis, who started out orthodox. then again I suppose the orthodox would call them OTD. (although the self described OTD would not.)

She is not really OTD, She keeps Shabbos Kasharuth and sends her kids to yeshiva

She is a Lesbian, that is why she left her Chasidic roots
