Summary: Bemu finally turns human, but things don't go exactly as expected.

I feel so sorry for him ;A; He breaks my heart, the poor thing. He loves Natsume so much, but that can never work. When he looks at Natsume he looks so happy, and hopeful, and like he wants to be loved but he can't quite believe Natsume accepts him yet, and I just want to hug him and take him home ;A;

Realistically, I don't think bemu knows that it is ~love~ he's feeling, since I think he has given up defining his feelings and just ..feel..? It's evident from episode 6&7 that he has a lot to show when he's angry because there's a lot of repressed anger that he does not speak about. It's probably easier for him too, to keep all his anger away because he won't be able to live for so long, seeing so many types of evil over the years. But IDK, I have taken a liking to a more fantasy tone for NatsuBemu without having to address the issue of realistic-ness or feasible-ness (since Natsume is married and all). So you're actually really brave for tackling it XD

I don't think he knows it's love either, because he has simply never had the experience to learn what love is or isn't, it's a bit like Bera. That's why I like the idea of Natsume teaching him what it is, helping him to give it a name, but then, because it can't work, also teaching him what heartbreak feels like. It's so terribly tragic. They break my heart, this too. Is the angstier character Kame has had, ever.
That said, I'm working on Natsume/Bemu happy smut now, because I want them to be happy so badly. Natsume is too bright and precious not to be happy.
